CNC what? Milled?

You want to argue about CNC stuff let’s fucking do it

6061 is dirt cheap, that’s why this is made out of aluminum.

You can probably belay those heads so probably get 10 per cycle for about $2 a bar.

Handle in a lathe is rather simple, turned with some grooving tools and a run a thread on some live tooling maybe sub $0.50 per handle

Anodizing for that part in type 2 is about $1

Those are quoted made in USA parts.

I can probably have a program for you in less than a day, 30 min setup on the mill and I’m a little slower on lathe setups

Razorock game changer .68 is 316L stainless steel and $53 US.
The bbs model is $69

>> No.18019828

Aluminium is probably only slightly above chocolate in terms of shittest material to make this out of. You want something with a nice amount of weight so it feels good in the hand and glides better. I have a couple of vintage Gillettes and theres Definately a sweet spot in terms of weight.
Not to mention, extremely cheap for a vintage one unless you get into specific collecting

Yep I bought one, thought of all the money I would save, saw some video which compared lifetime savings of using one these vs the disposable gilette 5 blade cartridges.

Anyways I used it for about 3 weeks before I realized it is not worth it and went back to the gilette disposable cartridges

Can you get as good a shave with a single blade Henson as you can with a 5 blade disposable cartridge? Yes. Is it as easy to? No.

You have to properly clean and store these. You have to painstakingly prepare your face with shaving cream. You have to carefully and methodically run this over your face at proper angles and tilt to get a precision shave. You have to do two full shave runs over your face to get as close a shave as what a gilette 5 blade disposable does in one.

Basically I was spending more than twice as long shaving with the Henson as I was with Gilette to get an equal shave. You will save money using Henson, but for me, that money is not worth the time it adds to my morning routine.

I believe the life times savings of using a Henson vs Gilette amounts to ~$3,000. But that is assuming you use a Henson blade for 5 shaves. I found that the single Henson blades became quite dull and less effective after only 2 shaves.

Time is money, $3,000 over my lifetime isn't worth the extra time it took to shave in the mornings.

Something I only noticed after I realized these things aren't all that great, all the people espousing how great they are online tend to be neckbeard onions millenials. You ever notice that? I think the people talking about how great these things are tend to be low T dorks trying to adopt "manly" behaviors to make up for their lack of testosterone.

I use the Henson to shave my ass and balls now cause I still have 80 blades that I don't know what to do with.

Depends on how thick your growth is. If youre an Italian then it ain't gonna be a good time, especially with the henson since it is purposely an unaggressive razor (tiny opening for blade - easier to use for most people but bad for rly thick beards). Also you can use regular shaving cream with if you want lol. You can also use soap and brush with a Gillette

You deserve to suffer the regret of this purchase. What the hell were you thinking getting muh aluminum in the first place? I see this I see a razor worth $5 because I know how cheap and easy it is to make aluminum. Also look at the people who own the company. The owners a fat fuck and the rest look like grifters and scammers.

I don't understand what your thought process could have been. Why did you get it and what about it made you get it? How did you go about deciding 'yep, this Henson Looominum for $70 is the ONE' ? You sound low IQ and probably fell for their marketing bs. If you admit this I'd respect you.

just chiming in to say you don't necessarily need to do 2-3 passes with a pricey razor, shaving cream and whatnot.
I've got pretty thick med beard hairs and just yesterday I shaved my 3 day beard under a hot shower with a fogless mirror using some cheapskate de safety razor from amazon and feather blades. All I did was one pass against the grain without shaving cream and I had no irritation whatsoever, only one minor cut. Before that I used a mild facial cleanser from cerave.
Make sure to do this at the end before stepping out of the shower so that ur hairs get soft from the water/steam. There is also nothing stopping you from using a shaving cream in the shower obviously, but for me the hot water and the mild cleanse was enough. Make sure you don't cleanse with anything too aggressive so that your skin does not get overly sensitive.
Only downside is that it likely only works well with hot water, so during summer I'd probably switch over to a regular shaving cream + gilette disposable routine. Generally I think it's good to own multiple razors for different occasions.
