How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

>Should I buy turdsdays/soloshits/doc shitans?
No they are filled with synthetic materials aimed at instant comfort but will not hold up to actual use.
>b-b-but muh ecelebs on youtube said they're good
no. you will waste your time and money and still have uncomfortable footwear at the end of the day. spend the extra $100 and get something real.

Can any of you fags help me out? I'm looking for an all around boot similar in function to the Danner Logger 917. A sort of sneaker boot I suppose. I walk a lot on cement and asphalt but also walk through mud and trails. All weather, rain, snow, sun. Something can be worn in summer and winter (Northeast USA.) Waterproof/resistant as possible yet resoleable. I have a blown out knee and back so comfort is a must. A sole that has a lot of shock absorption but is tough as possible because I beat the shit out of my shoes. The Danner Logger 917 checks all of these boxes and I was ready to pull the trigger on them but I started seeing complaints about how Danner's quality has gone downhill. Aesthetically I'm looking for an all black boot, 6", lace up, preferably normal/round toe but I'm open to moc toe. I don't really want to spend more than $300. Thanks.

Baby's first "real" boot but the average city slicker will never need much more. Good leather nd construction quality, moreso factorin in the price, easy and fast break in and they do not look as clownish irl as they sometimes do on pics.
Blacksmiths are basically the same boot but without the cap toe and a slightly less stiff backstay.

Georgia boot homeland work boots.

I've owned a lot of boots, but these are by far the best ones for comfort, style, durabiltiy and they are pretty inexpensive. I wear them every day for work and they are honestly more comfy than any of my sneakers so I wear them all over.

I understand those points and Thursday marketing model. What I don't really understand is the other end, the consumer and from a strictly aesthetic perspective. Perhaps I didn't word my thoughs correctly.
What I mean is that Thursdays have absolutely no character nor aesthetic uniqueness to them. They look like the most basic bitch boots ever made, like the boots a brand that doesn't specialize in shoemaking would design. Say, like Pepe Jeans or Levis or some such.
I know they use that midfle of the road between a rough workboot and a dress boot as a selling point, but still, if you wanted people to pay attention to your boots, Thursdays are like the opposite of that.
What I mean is that even if they offered a lot of quality for the value, even if what they marketed was 100% true, they'd still be pretty low on my list of brands to consider because they offer next to nothing in terms of aesthetics.
Perhaps this only makes sense to me, I don't know.
