This depends. If all you have is venmo setup on your phone youre going to have a hard time getting a place to stay or a plain ticket. I dont keep my credit card setup on my phone usually. Also doesnt hurt to have redundancies, you can always take the rolex and sell it, if youre in a developed country it wont be hard finding a jeweler that can verify it and buy it.

There's basically 3 kind of watch "people".
>"muh complications" retards
The more complicated a watch, the better. They simply don't understand the concepts of beauty and elegance. Their grail watch is some 17mm thick clustered perpetual calendar chronograph tourbillon grande sonnerie from ALS.
>"muh practicality" retards
Same as above except they're broke. They enjoy large quartz shitters on rattly bracelet from Citizen with a shit ton of useless scales on them.
>Patricians
They value aesthetic and simplicity over anything else. Only care about Rolex, vintage Cartier and vintage Patek. Sadly we're a minority here.

I'm looking for a dressy watch and I like the look of this one. There's a gold version too. It's quartz, but it doesn't have a seconds hand so you can't see it ticking, and a 6 year battery doesn't sound too bad.

It's a handsome watch. (The XL version is handwinding, with a Piaget Altiplano movement)

The problem is only 30m WR and that's not much if you intend to wear it daily. You'll have to be careful even just washing your hands. Of course, you'd probably be careful anyway since you wouldn't want to get that strap wet.

It's also not a very good value. It's good-looking but it's also just a simple, steel quartz watch. The name and design carries a lot of markup. It'd be better to get one used and let someone else take the depreciation hit.

For starters, the Omega Seamaster 300 was only created back in the late 1950s/early 60s because of the success of the Rolex Submariner.
It follows all of the Sub's design codes down to the coloring, size, dial text, case shape, bracelet design, etc; and only makes little tweaks to the index and hand shape to say "Nope, we're different, totally original."

Panerai are not Sub copes. Definitely their own design but most of them really aren't divers anymore.
Neither are Doxa SUBs. Doxa owners are weirdos and don't actually want Submariners. They also go out of their way to document themselves diving with their watches. Too bad it's a zombie brand, though.

It looks good, but /fa/ really is the last place on the internet where you'd get a valuable (i.e. applicable to real life) take on what works for you, in terms of fashion at least.
Personally I don't like watches with any sort of date display because you have to manually readjust them every few months.
Would look more serious without the chrono dials as well, but it definitely doesn't look too busy. Big buttons are a big turnoff on most watches, but on square cases they don't bother me too much.
