Here's this thing about mechanical watches: it requires that you move your body for it to keep track of time. Unless you are moving in space-time, you are not keeping track of time. A quartz watch simply keeps track of time, whether you are frozen in time--- or whether you are moving in space time. Unless you pull the crown out, then it ceases to track time completely. This action required movement in space time, and so does pushing the crown in to restart the time keeping, however, you do not have to move through space time any further after that action.
