Fucking Tauer, why did he played along with this Fomo bullshit of ensar, Areej and the such.

He is also saying that this new release it's a middle ground between Laddm , sundowner and golestan, his three more beloved fragrances.

Oh and he offers no samples.

What a fucking idiot honestly, I hope she doesn't sell even ten bottles. But I'm pretty sure there are 1000 dumb fucks willing to buy it .

Prin , Manuel Cross and Nicolai and a few others are the only respectful and honest artisan perfumers out there right now. Shameful behaviour by tauer

mancera seems to get good reviews for their fragrances and most of them seem to get good longevity. they cost like $180 but you're getting 4 ounces instead of the usual 3 for a full bottle, and usually you can find them on discounters for the price of a regular designer frag ~110 bucks. Got an MM replica discovery set for pretty cheap, so here’s some thoughts:
Jazz Club, By the Fireplace and Whispers in the Library are all some degree of vanilla bomb on me. WITL is a bright, fresh and more subtle vanilla, which is nice, but also a bit too candle-y. BTF has the toasted marshmallow (obv burnt like real niggas do it) and JC has the tobacco which sets them apart but I’m not a sweet/vanilla guy in general so I doubt any of them will see much use. Maybe for thanksgiving/Christmas.
Flower Market, Beach Walk and Lazy Sunday Morning are all going straight to my GF without trying, she already put on FM and loved it, but it didn’t last that long.
Sailing Day I sprayed once and it just reminded me of Aqua di Gio, not great not terrible. May give it a real wear next week when temps heat up.
For the two I’ve actually worn out:
Under the Lemon Tree I unexpectedly really enjoyed, the lemon and cardamom on a green tea/slightly floral? background is very fresh and pleasant, and the white musky drydown lasts all day on me. Reminds me a bit of YSL L’Homme Ultime, similar context for the cardamom. Razors edge of unisex, I’d like to see how this one works on my gf.
At the Barber’s is exactly what I wanted it to be, a streamlined, near-minimal version of the drakkar noir shaving foam scent (“aromatic fougere” yeah yeah). Goes on soft and stays soft, but lasts all day. Makes me want to give platinum egoiste another chance, I found it too green/herbal when I sampled it in store a while back.

Today is laundry day, so I’m gonna use the opportunity to douse myself in the last sample and seemingly biggest wild card of the bunch, Music Festival. Wish me luck bros

>"On the outskirts of Clarksdale, Mississippi, at the end of a secluded dirt road sat a small ramshackle church. It was not a place of worship but rather where many went to seek refuge during impoverished times. Legend has it the structure was transported to the wild mint field by hand, hoisted on the shoulders of two dozen men. The outside remained simple and nondescript but the interior was aglow with pilfered neon signs, Christmas lights, and a jukebox donated by the sheriff’s son. It was a distinctly secular place where locals who knew where to find it could share moonshine, socialize, and dance their troubles away. They called their ramshackle juke joint Saint Julep and the oral histories compiled within paint a picture of that magical place where “the smiles was always free and salvation had the distinct smell of sweet mint.”--attributed to author Milton Nevers, Imaginary Authors

I keep buying samples as a form of cope to deal with the fact that I am so lonely and it’s the only thing that gives me something to look forward to. When I know a frag sample is coming in the mail, it’s a way to keep me going for a couple more days because I no longer get that from working out. I’m already /fit/ and I still continue to workout due to habit and having nothing else to do. Testing frags and writing up reviews in my excel spreadsheet at least gives me one more distraction from the constant feeling of loneliness.

Continuing the short story collection with
>Whispered Myths
Why the fuck is this even in here?
Stale rotting melon, chemical-y cardboard smell. Scrubbing this immediately, I wonder if the description is any less gay than the last one:

>When the long hours Azzam Issa pulls at his family’s bakery begin to interfere with his day-job as a security guard at The Louvre things turn bizarre. Angelic creatures move from one painting to the next and statues speak to him in cryptic whispers. The delusions are a nuisance and the the few hours of sleep he is afforded between jobs are no better; dominated by visits from ancient mariners and supernatural figures from worlds past. It isn’t until he begins to listen to these apparitions that he becomes truly unhinged. In the frantic search for the true identities of these lost souls Azzam discovers something far more remarkable, his own.

that's pretty close to PdM prices. and Creed, despite many shortcomings, really isn't that similar to designers, even under the current ownership. for example, the infamous batch variation of Aventus is caused by their bizarre policy when it comes to sourcing naturals, which is very different from most designers (much more retarded)
niche and designer are fairly useless categories in today's fragrance market and "masstige" is kind of iffy as well

If you're flattering and charming, they'll like your scent, not the other way around. This is the fatal flaw in changing yourself to appease women/other people. No girl wants a yes-man, she's got a thousand of those, she wants someone who is confident with his own personality who doesn't care what's trending and what other people think. Paradoxically, that's more attractive than trying to appease people. If you ask me, anyway.

I agree with the other anon, you just need to sniff stuff, either at the store or from decants, if you want to expand your horizons. if you're just looking for accessible citrusy, aquatic or woody scents, you could really just stick to the better designers. Dior Homme 2020, Terre d'Hermes, maybe some meme fragrances like Bois Imperial. but it feels like you're not sure what you want yet
either way, sniff a lot and don't let yourself get scammed. many of the 200$ fragrances out there are very overpriced for what they are and not necessarily "more sophisticated". don't listen to online hype and influencers, there is a lot of sneaky viral marketing out there

Yes. But L'Oreal wants the ingredients cost to be even lower, which is why their fragrances can fluctuate in availability. They save a few extra percents and make the formula cost even less and people will still eat it up because of FOMO. And if they reformulate something to all hell to cut costs, people will gobble up a flanker that "restores it's former glory", as seen with the Bleu Electrique hype.
There are few demographics that love being scammed as much as fragbros do, and L'Oreal is happy to scam them at every opportunity.
