Ah so you’re huck. Posting some low grade trash and calling it Paris fashion as an attempt to distract from true Paris fashion

No one actually pays attention to those husken Jewish fashion shows.

Real Paris fashion week is the true French utmost expressing themselves on the street.

Death to those who don’t belong on my world.
Death to those who fear true French soul.

Those who would try limit the utmost potential of my people, don’t belong on my world/soul.

The more and more I look at runway shows the less I like them. I realize that they're showcases of art and the overall seasonal design direction, but in many cases it's impossible to enjoy them because many of the outfits are simply not practical for the average person to wear even if that person is enfranchised in the fashion world. Even moreso when I vastly prefer the women's outfits or shows to men's but cannot wear the former.

I maintain that 'street style' - not streetwear - is more interesting because it's bounded by a requirement to be practical, and people able to create an interesting outfit within a certain limitation are good at fashion. Runway shows can be enjoyable as just that, a show, sure, but clothes are more interesting when you can wear them yourself.

GIAMBATTISTA VALLI

>> No.17825283

>>17825169
You need to think of this stuff as being more like textile fine art, that just happens to be wrapped around a living person. Very few will ever be sold, except as statement pieces in someone's wardrobe that they wear two or three times. Every single piece there will see very limited production, and when accounting for all of the labour involved, will actually have been created at a net-loss to the designer, only generating money insofar as they generate interest and get eyeballs on the rest of the catalogue that is actually designed to sell in higher quantities.

Furthermore, questioning their "daily basis" use is a bit silly. It's basically the equivalent of asking how often a man is going to wear his tuxedo.

>> No.17825411

>>17825283
In my post here >>17823968 I acknowledged that they're showcases of art - and therefore ultimately an advertisement for the brand - more than showcases of clothing that can be reasonably worn in daily life. I'm assuming you're not the same poster but >>17824618 doesn't seem to think that they're impractical at all. I think it's unfortunate that we can't have such fantastic and elaborate outfits as these considered appropriate daily wear. I can appreciate stuff like the below video for example but it's unfortunate when the majority is, like you say, fine art on a body, and the more conventional clothing presented is so overtly feminine that it's impossible to wear as a male.

>> No.17825474

>>17825411
They are impractical, and the truth of the matter is that as I stated, many of these items are money-losers and the brands often make most of their money on leather goods. Even the "ready to wear" segment of their catalogue is just the designer wanting to flex.

That's not what I said at all. Even in my, yes, small flyover country I've seen people wearing Rick both tastefully and distastefully. The point I was making is that people IRL do not dress like how these models are clothed, for example >>17823474 I think you would struggle to see anyone wearing outfits remotely similar to this in real life. The most you'd see it at is some kind of ball or met gala esque event. While I understand why they don't, I think it sucks that you can't.

To reiterate my original point, men's clothing is boring, women's clothing is not wearable by men in 90% of cases, and the majority of outfits presented here can't function outside of the runway or lookbooks, and that's awful.

Menswear is only boring in the context of a western man, who has been conditioned to wear clothing for utility if he is not a noble for a 1000 years. In Tudor England a peasant could literally be put to death for wearing certain colour dyes. As a Muslim however, long 'dresses', skirts, headwear and exposed shoulders with ornamental robes are a tradition of ours. Flowing silhouettes appropriate for the harsh desert climate, adorned by both the wealthy and poor.

From my first post. I'm lamenting that I find men's clothing boring and women's clothing interesting, but cannot wear the latter because I'm not going to be a man in a dress.
>that wasn't the claim you goalpost moving faggot
If you can show me people that wear outfits like the ones I replied to here >>17825169 "outside of the runway" by all means, please do so. The only way I can imagine people wearing outfits like the Chris Esber ones are to a formal event for the ludicrously wealthy, with the exception of the two in the right column and maybe the red one. The Rick outfits are even more outlandish. Yes, I do realise that people don't copy runway outfits 1:1 and that the brands offer more than just what's shown on the runway.
