What's wrong with judging an author's book by their cover? Some of the best authors were also sexy people in their time. Mrs Dalloway ofc is good but is slow at parts. afaik the best books for dreamlike will be Modernist authors, because the style of "stream of consciousness" came about with that literary movement in Europe. /lit/ would give better recs I haven't read much modernist literature. nice reading it as esl though.
