It depends on what you mean by "pinnacle of watchmaking." If you're talking about the complexity and refinement of movements and complications, no. If you're talking about innovations in watchmaking technology or setting new trends in the industry, no. If you're talking about making a really robust watch with timeless designs that last forever, sure. Plus all of their shit is made in house and their history and the fact that their marketing pivot from high end tool making company to luxury fashion company was the model that basically saved the entire Swiss watchmaking industry from getting shitcanned during the quartz crisis shows their legacy and history of being able to adapt and compete in the market. They happen to be the most popular and noteworthy watch companies while also having the most interesting history.

In a manner of speaking, sure. Except for the nonservicable ones that you can't change batteries on, then they literally could not last forever even if you wanted them to. So they make a durable piece of jewelry that holds its value. It also costs $10,000. Uh, okay I guess? Like the other anon said, an F91 will last about 10 years on a single battery. Thats a dollar per year and it'll probably survive just about anything a Rolex will ever be subjected to.

I bought one of these Pagani 36mm Daydate homages recently just to see how good or bad a $90 daydate could be, also because I want a Rolex Daydate and I'm coping with not being able to afford it so I need alternatives. I've been wearing it for a few days and I really don't know how I feel about it but I think I mostly enjoy it?

CONS
>Machining appears to be pretty inconsistent, particularly on threaded parts. Two of the bracelet links seems to be inseparably joined by a screw pin that threads out about half way and then just spins forever and never backs all the way out. I'm not totally sure how that would even happen. Also the crown is threaded but no matter how much I tighten it the crown always feels like it could tighten just a little more so I'm concerned about stripping it.
>The font of the day looks good but the numbers on the date wheel are thin and spaced out, the goofiest thing about it is that on the number 11 with the cyclops and big white space in the middle of the surrounding dial color it looks like Bomberman's face
>Some of the case edges are a little sharp on the bottom
>The light color dial with light indicies make it difficult to read sometimes
>no options for lumed indexes
PROS
>I was shocked by how accurate and tightly regulated the movement seems to be. I set the time on the afternoon of the 11th, it's the 13th now and it's still only lost 3 seconds. I heard horror stories online about these chinese Seagull movements running like shit, breaking quickly and half the time not even being lubed from the factory, but so far so good?
>It's shiny enough to actually resemble platinum. Maybe cartoonishly so, maybe that's a bad thing.
I honestly think I like it though? I can't trust the thread on the crown to be water tight but otherwise I enjoy wearing it.

There sure are a lot of FAGGOTS in these threads, which is quite unfortunate. I’ve thought a lot on the issue of the alphabet people and have discovered a silver lining to all this outward expression of mental illness. By encouraging these people (can hardly call them that) to come out and be fucking FAGGOTS, we are assisting them in removing their weak genetics from the gene pool. In the past, we would encourage them to love normal lifestyles with wives and children. But no more! We have given the green light for these degenerates to consensually eradicate their defunct genes so that future generations can be stronger and less mentally ill. The issue is that we have to deal with them, and be disgusted by them, in the mean time. That’s why it always puts a smile on my face when I hear that one killed itself, one less fucking FREAK walking the streets while I’m trying to take my kids out for a good time.

Sinn fucking dunk on Rawlex and many other brands, specially IWC and Breitling.

I mean, if you buy the 556a, why would be the reasons to get an Explorer?? You have an arguably better dial for a fraction of the price. Yes Sinn uses Sellita movement but who the fuck buy a sub 50k watch for the movement?? Those who pretend they do, are either lying to themselve or straight up fucking retarded.

>b-but its -/+ 4-5 seconds a day

yeah so what? Thats seems perfectly fine to me. If I wanted to keep time on an autistic OCD level I wouldn't have bought a mechanical watch, I would've bought a fucking atomic clock.

IF you wanna pay for a logo thats your choice, you free to dump your hard earned money whereever you want but IMO, when it comes to design and function for the price, Sinn is as good as it gets so far.

Sure, but why would you choose this over a Hamilton khaki? The same reasons why you would chose the explorer over this

Enjoy your clunky clasp and unrefined finish on a 1500 watch lmao

I really like the proportions of the dial and the open heart on this one. Anything similar that's half as expensive? ~1.5k
