I don't have the same style as you, but your strategy was the same as mine at 24, and I am indeed wearing the same clothes now at 33. Probably a third of my day-to-day clothes date to back then. But I combine them better than I did at that age, and I am more discerning about acquisitions. If I could give any advice to myself at that age, it would also to have been more discerning back then -- for example, pick something that's really a good fit, so you aren't burdened with a shirt for 20 years that's only ever been an "okay" fit. You probably will since you browse /fa/ and I didn't pay attention to clothing until I was 30.

Thanks for the tip! But you're right, I've been paying a lot if attention to how clothes fit ever since I was 18. When I was 20 my dad once bought me a shirt and it's such a shitty fit but he says that I should still wear it because it would be a waste if I didn't. It's actual insulting how badly it fits because the shoulders of the shirt are way too narrow and I kinda pride myself on my wide, well developed shoulder (I work out a lot as well). Really shows what my father thinks of me.

I'm the same way. These days I mostly wear "fashion sneakers" that pair decently enough with business casual outfits. I do this for several reasons
1. I have large feet and wear size 14 shoes. Honestly its really hard to find nice loafers or nice shoes in my size.
2. I'm still committed to working out and athletics. Dress shoes are ill-fitting on me, and make me sore as hell.
3. Nicer shoes are expensive and I really don't give a fuck.

If you have a general or original fashion sense and confidence, you can make sneakers work.
