“Fashion” trends...but why only “influence on the international fashion scene”...why set your sights so low...you mean just the opinions of the many? Who cares. Here is my vision of the truly fabulous, the “fierce”, the ferocity of nature: the zoos opened, predators unleashed by the dozens, hundreds....four thousand hungry wolves rampaging on the streets of these hive cities, elephants and bison stampeding, the buildings smashed to pieces, the cries of the human bug shearing through the streets as the lord of beasts returns. Los Angeles, Berlin, Toronto Canada reduced to ruins overgrown by vines and forest, the haunt of the lynx and coyote again. The great cesspool slums, São Paulo, Mexico City, Lagos Nigeria, all the fetid latrines of the world covered over by mudslides, overgrown with thick jungle, this is trend-worthy. Madrid to me always seemed a city still inhabited just out of vanity. Let loose hundreds of tigers, companies of rhinoceros, with strong engine of spirit revving in their deep chests, let them bring the justice of the volcano to this world of trash! Bless the passing of the Shoggoth!

It's outdated since most of them globalized completely. There are some exceptions.
>Milan and Paris
Not much fashion influence outside of a few high-end fashion scenes religated to the city center. Rich people and models still go there but the style is nieche and could have been designed in LA (which it probably was but debuted on the runway i one of these "fashion cities")
>Berlin
Frontrunner in the "MDMA dark basement rave" style (idk what it's called). Terrible style but can't say it doesn't influence fashion worldwide.
>Tokyo
Weebs. That's it. Weebs and otakus are found everywhere so it has worldwide influence.
>Lagos and Mumbai
Rising stars. Instead of globalizing, these countries have embraced their identity and developed their own sense of style. Not widely regarded as big players in the fashion scene but the direction they're taking will most likely result in unique fashion that will directly or indirectly influence fashion worldwide.

Rest is outdated and mostly irrelevant as fshion cities in the modern age.

People living in these miscellaneous places might not like to hear it, but fashion trends generally go Tokyo > NY > London > Rest of world. Yes that includes France/Italy/G*rmany, people there dress EXTREMELY pedesterianly, and most people who think they're dressing cool, are dressing how New Yorkers did 2 or 3 years prior.

As for the other cities why are they even on there other than for absolute cope of irrelevant places in terms of modern culture. "But we have this one regional thing that's totally special and unique and totally wasn't copying some weird thing we saw American GI's doing in the 1970s!"

The truest response in this thread. Nyc is always first, then London copies it, then everyone else. Tokyo is like a different lane kind of, afaik nyc trends come from nyc, not Tokyo.

For sur that was written by a bot/intern who skimmed wikipedia for a list of most populated cities and called it a day. I wouldn't have included Montreal necessarily, but I wouldn't even have thought of Toronto at all.

Only Paris and Milan make sense.
Paris is still home to the biggest, most respected fashion brands in the world. Parisians have flawless fashion sense, they are thin and /fa/, and don't succomb to cringe trends imported from east asia.
Nu-/fa/ might think "oh but muh hekin stylerino" but that's just cope. People want Hermès, Channel, YSL and LVMH. They want Céline, Dior and Chloé, they want Pierre Cardin and Lacoste. All SS+ tier couture brands are either french or italian.
