Momotaro, samurai jeans, warehouse, pure blue japan, left field nyc, studio de artisan, tellason, big john, real japan blues, naked and famous uses okay denim but cheap construction.
The levis 501 shrink to fits, and only the shrink to fits are okay, the levis LVC repro stuff is okay but overpriced, the rigid wrangler 13mwz cowboy cut jeans are decent, but only the rigid ones, the stuff from Lee's 101 line is mostly decent.
TLDR, get Japanese shit from denimio.com or hinoya.shop
