The stuff that arrived yesterday from Secretdumarais.

If anyone wants me to try something specifically let me know.

Samples and decants are:

-Ganymede Extrait
-Hibiscus Mahajad
-Neroli Nasimba
-Sous le pont mirabeu
-Tam dado
-Battito D'ali
-Patchouly by villoresi
-Atomic Rose
-Tempo by Dyptique

Weren't blind buys, acrasia is severely underrated and one of my favourite fragrances period. Extremely great performer also. Like a sweeter, gourmandish LADDM once it dries down. The opening is extremely beautiful.

The only sample I tried already is Ganymede extrait, and as much as I love Ganymede, the extrait is terrible. It's Ganymede with an overload of smoky curry.

Try to sample. The first time I tried it I loved the opening since it's rich and creamy but after a while I got sick of it, the vetiver on the drydown can be a bit cloying, it feels synthetic , but that's also part of the appeal . Now when spring started, I gave it a second chance and I started to love it. In this weather and outdoors, it shines

Then on the garden I just planted some tuberose and sanpaguita.

The most fragrantic one by far is one specific kind of jasmine that I have in a pot, I had inside my house for a while and the whole house was smelling like jasmine, quite beautiful.

How do you guys deal with normies not getting fragrances? Like your nose can paint a full scene of a stream with rocks, cold water, sea air and moss but when a civilian smells the same thing they say it smells like a bell pepper or something.

Obv if you want to get with a girl on a date you wear Creed Aventus or YSL black because most women don't have taste but does everyone really just retch at anything that doesn't smell like expensive shower gel? Because for me the sexiest thing a woman can wear is oud and exotic expensive earth smells. Sweet fruity stuff makes me think of boring gross alcoholic girl in college and white light florals and powdery smells make me think of a sterile hospital. I want depth and allure and power. Do women just want a retard with enough motor skills left to thrust their hips and curl dumbbells?

>they say it smells like a bell pepper

Somehow you are more autistic than normies since you had a chance to train your nose and they didn't. Your best bet is just to date someone who will wear whatever you gift. Perfume girls I know are picky af and would make you wear what they want most likely lol.

>Are you the white flowers lover guy? What are your favourite florals

That might be me probably, Im the one with the jasmine bush at the door that posted earlier

My top three tuberose jasmine
-carnal flower
-hiram green moon bloom
-compliment - Maison violet

The three have a similar profile with a twist. Carnal flower is the richest and greener, Hiram bloom is sweeter because it has a prominent coconut note and violet is the fresher.

Lust by lush is a good one and fairly cheap, but an overly sweet and strong take on jasmine if that's your cup of tea

Lys mediterranee is another fresh white floral that I love.

If you like rose, experimentum crucis, eau rose edt by Dyptique and Rose gourmand by Zara are my absolute favourites. This last one if you have the chance try it , similar to atomic rose by Initio but arguably better in everything except performance.

Like some drugstore bottle of whatever he smelled first, grabbed and then bought. He does it because he feels like he needs to, not because he wants to. It was 10$ but he still only wears it when he goes out. My personal guess would be like something from Jaguar, after intentionally dodging everything 007, David Beckham, Adidas and Tommy Hilfiger. jicky is such an unbelievably interesting scent. the fougere elements are so warm and relaxing, formal and elegant, but depending on the progress of the heart note’s development, the civet musk can range from fecal to smelling like a locker room. the coumarin and lavender alone could make this scent perfect for black tie, but the civet gives it such a sexual, animalic undertone that i’m not even sure how i would wear this. along with habit rouge this is the closest thing i have smelled to a symphony in fragrance form.

Eau Rose is so amazing and crazy realistic, but I habituate to it in 5 minute, sadly. I really like experimentum crucis, but I haven't finished my sample yet to decide how much exactly I need it, especially since I might get 500 years over it.
Usually coconut is scary to me(somehow I like Philosykos edt though it feels like a pure fig to me) and it is likely to make me hate perfume by smothering other notes and a lot of white florals have coconut. I remember that I wasn't impressed by Carnal flower from a paper strip and have thought Olene, which I tried on the same day, mogged it. Will try to find Compliment. Thanks for the recs.
Have you tried any experimental profiles with maybe smoke, guaiac or frankincense? I am trying to find interpretations of white florals (slightly excluding lily of the valley) where it is not just an intensity level and soliflore realism competition, but something extra. I like Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Jo Malone, but not sure if that one counts as a white floral, but gives me orthodox church vibes and flashbacks to my childhood spending summers with my nun granny at a monastery.

Tried it today at a fragrance shop. It's nice but seemed a bit too sweet.
Chanel allure homme sport was very fresh and nice.
Acqua di gio profumo was nice at first when sprayed in the air but when it set on my skin it smelled like sour cucumber and sweaty balls (could be due to mixing with other fragrances).
What are some fragrances similar to Chanel allure homme sport but preferably cheaper?

As far as white florals go that are a bit more daring golestan by Tauer is really beautiful , a white floral with Tauer base from lddm. I get hints of something white floral from lair du desert anyways too.

Fathom v is also really beautiful if you want the whole "white florals in the garden" experience.

I'll try to get a sample of the ones you mentioned. Now that I'm set for pure florals,I want to get my hands on something more complex.

By the way, I declare myself the official tempo poster of the general . I gave this shit a wear today In a rainy spring day and it's the best fucking shit I've sampled In a long long time. This is what makes me spend money in a ton of samples, when you finally find something so damn good.

I have a small bottle of Chopard black incense malaki i got for free, this has a very offensive synthetic oud at the beginning which bothers me.
I spray it on my neck two times and i get choked for the first hour or two, then it becomes pleasant.

I spray it on my arm or under clothes and this way i like it much better.

So in case of daring/strong fragrances, is it ok to just spray further away from my nostrils or am i just not getting the "full experience" this way?

You all hate Sauvage because it's throws the reality of the world in your face every time you smell it.
Sauvage isn't brilliant, it isn't exceptional, it isn't magical. It is simply well put together, friendly, out going, doesn't quit and manages to fit in without changing in almost every situation. And that is more than good enough because the overwhelming majority of people love it. And this is documented time and time again, video after video and post after post. People love Sauvage.
Sauvage as a fragrance is what you wish you could be as a person, but aren't. Instead you'll sit around circle jerking the rare ingredients and exotic creations, lauding each other for your superior taste, looking down on the plebs who shower Sauvage with compliments. Why don't they compliment you? Isn't it obvious how much better your fragrance is? It's niche for gods sakes!
Nevermind that you don't actually understand what niche even means.
So you'll post and post, seething and pretending to laugh at your own wit each time you meme about Bois Imperial. But one black day you'll crack and do the unthinkable: You'll buy Sauvage. You won't post about it here of course, my god why would you? You have a completely anonymous reputation to protect! You'll spray it on and part of you will be ashamed and feeling transgressive, but a small sliver of you will feel hopeful for a change. Maybe, just maybe, today I'll be noticed. Today I'll get a compliment. I just want to feel what it's like one time, everyone else loves this stuff, surely there's one compliment left for me?
I genuinely pity you when you still won't get a compliment and are forced to confront the reality that even a jovial titan like Sauvage cannot mask how rotten, desolate and unappealing you are.

So keep shitting on Sauvage, spray your niche of the month or whatever arab oil is getting hawker now. Much like a tranny pretends to be a woman you are equally delusional in your claims of superiority. Cope and seethe.

have some restraint. I hope you're just buying samples and not blind buying everything mentioned in these threads lol. and yes, it's dark but also very delicate. there's a lot of rose scents in the ELDO discovery box, but this is the least grandma/feminine of them. seductive vampire scent

I'm now further through the Bianchi discovery set and I don't think any of them are gothrock so far. Only one that might have been acceptable was The Dark Side. And while we're at the topic of The Dark Side, Tigha's The Dark Side is certainly more gothrock.

people talk an awful lot about Aventus, and yet I have never smelled it in the wild. I'm starting to think that, ironically, this "hobby" is full of broke niggas.
