I look amazing in slim fit chinos and a jumper or sweatshirt.
But I have a lot more trouble in the summer.
>Slim fitting t shirts
Looks feeble and weak
>More boxy fitting t shirts
Better silhouette, but makes my arms look tiny
>Long sleeved t shirts
Always looks dorky. I was trying for picrel but its impossible to find long sleeved t shirts that fit that nice (tight around the neck, spacious but not baggy in the body, slightly thicker fabric). Plus tucked in is really hard to pull off irl.
>Casual button up shirts
With 0 or 1 unbuttoned, looks stodgy. With 2 unbuttoned, the collar always spreads away from my neck and it looks slovenly.

Should I look into polos or henleys? Any tips appreciated.

Whatever you do, don't listen to guys telling you to gain weight. Skinny is an aesthetic that not many guys can pull off once they're out of high school.

I'd suggest going to websites of retailers and copying the models with your body type.

If you can't find clothes to fit you just right, then find a tailor to do alterations.

But what ever you do, don't fall for the gym meme.

No.
I'm just saying that he should leverage his skinniness while he can pull it off.
Gyms are full of cookie cutter guys who fell for the just-lift-bro meme but they'll never have actually impressive physiques.
Tall skinny guys are a niche but if OP is already in that niche he should leverage it rather than expend a massive amount of effort to become generic. Unless he has top tier genetics and discipline and two years to invest.

Something flowy, draping loosely but not too much.
I wear lightweight hoodies like picrel, looks good imo.

Im a naturally skinny guy that is forever trying to put on muscle. When i am super skinny only fat girls like me. Anyway, play to your strength OP. Fit is LESS important to a skinny guy bc we are already at the apex of clothes hangerhood. If your waist is 28in, everyone knows. Still, make sure your stuff fits in the shoulders otherwise you look ill. Pleated pants will add some front width to your lower body.

>tall skinny guy

You’re not that tall or that skinny. I’m 6’4”, 155lbs, and I look fine in the summer wearing dress shirts with the sleeves rolled up and linen pants. I used to be self conscious about my weight and was always force feeding myself and lifting too heavy trying to bulk up, but I’ve reached the point now where I have enough sex that I don’t even want to change anything. Girls seem to love the lanky aesthetic nowadays, which they didn’t 10 years ago.

My younger brother (who always had the same super-thick curly Italian hair as me) got big into powerlifting in his 20s and is now experiencing significant hair loss due to his high androgen levels, whereas my hair is still thick and beautiful.

For reference, my shirt size is 15.5”neck/35” sleeve and my pant size is 30x34.

Here's my plan for this summer:
>been tucking a lot, your long legs come into play
>fitted t-shirts, look for a cut that's good for you (Seagale XL t-shirts make me look like I lift 30% times more than I actually do)
>linen pants, cut doesn't matter because you can always tailor them into something slimmer
>short-but-not-too-short shorts
>hawaiian and linen shirts, multiple buttons unbuttoned

One of the ways I could comfortably hide being a DYEL was rolling up sleeves just before the elbow

I dont understand what you mean. Tucking in a shirt is "hard to pull off"? According to who? It's a classic look and instantly makes you look taller and your proportions more interesting. If it looks dorky, theres something wrong with the clothes, not whether you tucked them in.

As it should be obvious from the fits I was describing, these are for casual wear. And when I tuck in a t shirt, to me it looks unconventional. It looks fine in the model's picture, but it feels out of place in the actual public.

Also, going back to the original subject of the post, tucking highlights how skinny my waist is which is something Im not too confident about.

I still agree with you theoretically, just not sure what percentage of guys have the correct body type/personality/social status for it to be a congruent fit. Posting some tucked t shirts inspo which I like.
