I hate Parfums de marly and Initio parfums because of what they stand for, their lack of creativity, their JACKED up prices. They are just copying the most succesful mainstream fragrances, they don't even put a fucking spin on them, just straight up copy, same ingridients. But that is not all, they also refuse to give credit to the SHADOW NOSES behind all their scents, yes no glory, no thanks, no gratitidue to the hard workers that stand behind their success.

I also despise their marketing campaigns, paying those instagram thots to shill their frags, paying them influencers. Forcing their shit on youtube and tiktok reviewers, and then that poisoned content is shoved down our throats.

But most of all. I fucking hate Demi Rawling, that dumb, fucking, sandnigger fucking, ugly ass, slag. You dumb fucking bitch. Was 1000£ for a chat not enough for you? entitled piece of shit. I FUCKING HATE PDM AND INITIO.

ATTENTION
Notice and word of warning for based Bois Imperial (BI) shillers:
it has been brought to my attention that certain low-IQ individuals simply cannot handle the superiority of BI over their favourite (inferior) fragrances, and have sheepishly resorted to filtering out those of us with taste, excluding posts (via the 4chan-x extension) with such phrases as "BI", "bois imperial", "B.I", etc.
For future reference, when promoting Sir. Bisch's product on the thread, please refrain from using the intuitive name for the fragrance, and instead use your preferred obscure term for the fragrance to evade the plebians' phrase filter.

Examples of potential alternative phrases include, but are not limited to: "B-I", "Bo1s 1mperi4I", "holy grail", "1305 1M93RIA1" etc.

Thank you for you patience and cooperation in these trying times, and keep doing the Lord's work, gentlemen.

This might be autistic but this is the place for it. I'm looking for a frag that would suit a male equivalent to the modern instagram gyaru. More fashion concious with a bold, gregarious, and masculine demeanor while not being too crazy like the 00s gyaru. Pic related as an idea of the change in women.

My idea is Le Male Le Parfum for a fall winter. What would you say could work for spring summer as an equivalent? Please no Aventus, Sauvage, or Eros. I don't like them that much.

If you have an idea what the female version would be that could be interesting too. Im not familiar with female scents but maybe something like chance eu tendre as a guess

There's nothing else like it. I've bought At the Barber's from MMM, but it just isn't as cold and metallic as PE. Personally, I even think that At the Barber's is not a good "basic modern cut", as the flowchart suggests, but that PE is so timeless that it would fit that spot better. ATB isn't bad, but it just ain't PE. I've also bought Eau de Passion Men and it literally just smells like somebody tried to make PE at 10% of the cost. Certainly not the same.
I'm interested in trying Rogue's Bon Monsieur, because I have a feeling that it could be a good PE competitor, recreating the feeling, although not the smell. Haven't sampled it yet, though.

you would think so, OMS Oud Edition has been genuinly my MOST COMPLIMENETED fragrance ever, and it has also been the only fragrance that felt like an actual needle mover when it came to dating, whilst other fragrances can add 0.25 - 0.5 if you had to put them on a scale, they complete the look, set the mood etc. OMS Oud Edition felt like it added 1.0 maybe even 1.25, which for just a fragrance is fucking ridiculous, and because of those experiences it boosted my confidence even more. Try it for yourself. It might just make you feel like a man for the first time in your life, and if you have never had a father, it might just make you understand how big is the hole in your psyche that you need to fill out yourself.

Im not saying this to be mean or put you down, but OMS Oud Edition is an absolute compliment monster. It’s extremely low hanging fruit. To be honest other people enjoy it more than I enjoy it myself. I enjoy knowing that other people enjoy it. Have you considered that if it doesn’t give you compliments, OMS Oud Edition isn’t the problem, YOU are the problem. If OMS Oud Edition doesn’t get you compliments, nothing will.

Maybe you are just carrying yourself in a way that makes you creepy/unpleasant that people don’t want to give you a compliment. You should work on yourself. This is a very hard pill to swallow and I’m not saying this to be dick, I’m trying to help you and other anons improve yourselves.

It’s funny, the anons who tried OMS Oud Edition and didn’t like it because it didn’t get them compliments are outing themselves as creepy neckbeards that nobody likes.

Anons who enjoy OMS Oud Edition and gets compliments are bogartchads that people aren’t scared to give a compliment because they aren’t creepy.

The samples I got were:
Bluebijou - The blueberry smells like candy to me, but it's better than the others in that it actually doesn't just smell like something is burning. Chocolate is barely noticeable though. Very little sillage. Lasts approx. 5 hours.
Enchanted Forest - Has a really nice initial green smell. Has hints of light fruit afterward and smoke is very light which I like, but it's staying power is non-existent for me. 0 sillage, have to get right up against my skin to smell it.. Lasts a few hours max.
Ummagumma - Burning wood, incense, I can vaguely smell vanilla. Nothing else though. Cloying to smell and strong but low sillage. Had to wash it off because it gave me a headache.
Antidote (Viktor Rolf) - Jesus fucking christ the spice was incredibly strong. I have this issue where on top of musk/spice.smoke being strong on me, it lasts forever. I had this shit on me for days from a spray even after I tried scrubbing it off because this also gave me a headache.
Dark Amber and Ginger Lily (Jo Malone) Actually pretty good. The ginger part lasts until 5 hours and then afterwards it's just the amber. Simple and inoffensive but I don't think it suits me.
I have a few other samples but haven't touched them yet because I wanted to know if this is something wrong with my picks or with my skin.
Also I tried Zoologist Moth just to see what it would be like and not genuinely considering it, but by god this one gave me a headache the fastest out of the ones I tried.

And if you think employees do the "let me get you the frags you want to try" thing mainly to dissuade shoplifters and not as a marketing strategy, maybe it's you who lives in an actual 3rd world country. And imagine talking of BI posters implying you are not one of them, then proceeding to fellate yourself. Hi guys, i just wanna say that i met my japanese wife with a layering Aventus, Layton, Greenley, Sedley, Eros, The One, Sauvage, Dylon Blue, AdG Profumo, Spicebomb, Y YSL at once.

As for what to sample go for Musc Ravageur, Music For a While, Synthetic Jungle, The Moon, Dans Tes Bras.
And if you really want to act out on your fantasy of being somebody that should be entertained try synthetic jungle and fuck off, since you probably wont be able to appreciate the other fragrances the house has to offer, and synthetic jungle is most likely different to anything you have ever smelled.

I'd say the only thing that can convince you is their original lineup in the context of when they were released, the price point for the brand back then used to be way better, there's an article that mentions the entire lineup (then 12 fragrances) was available to try in a coffret discovery set, around 7ml each I believe for 75 euros (though I'm not 100% certain on my memory for that, it makes sense however as the 12x1.2ml is 40 euros currently even with their price increases). Now a single 30ml bottle costs more than that, even with inflation accounted for, the coffret with 84ml still cost less than a new 30ml bottle. If you enjoyed their fragrances back then I think your opinion would be different now, saddened by their decline but understanding that it was truly a great up and coming niche house.

I personally think they had a solid lineup, while I think there wasn't anything particularly mind-blowing (no 10/10 must buy wow I need this desperately) but from what I tried I liked, very high calibre perfumery from the onset but with the the skyrocketing in price, not really releasing anything spectacular as of late imo and doing various stupid arab editions the image has in my mind denigrated. If they kept releasing solid to great fragrances and increased the price then fair enough, there is enough prestige to warrant it, but stalling your brand and making classless arab bullshit to appeal to some dubai oil money baron is so tacky.

Short and borderline useless opinions on some of the more popular MMM frags that just arrived. I got 10ml vials in case I didn't like them.

>Replica at the Barber
Very nice. Smells super clean, almost minty. But obviously not a "fresh" fragrance that's for sure. I think it definitely smells like how its named. Almost has a shaving foam-like scent to it.

>Replica by the fireplace
Smells what I expected it to, quite woody, smokey but a little more sweet than I expected (not in a bad way).

>Replica Jazz Club
This kinda blew me away. I did not expect it to smell this way, or this good. It's so.. Luxurious? Very very comfy.

Haven't tried them on my skin yet though so keep that in mind.

Alright, so I plucked the Bogart frags I bought in the past from my basement and gave them another try.

CityTower: Still cheap-smelling smoky trash.
Silver Scent Deep: Still cheap smelling super sweet chemical mess with some showergel vibes. The grape soda blast in the opening is the worst part of it, though.

Pour Homme:
This stuff isn't as bad as I remembered it. Definitely wearable. Most Bogart frags are built around accords and not notes, so it's always hard to tell what a Bogart frag smells like, but this stuff at least doesn't smell cheap. What does it smell like? Chemicals. It's a sweet and synthetic lavender accord with some woody background, although rather boring wood and not the main player, lots of coumarin. Who would wear this? The NYC hot dog salesman with the 300k hot dog stand license, to try and blend in with the people coming out of the high-rises. It's a typical "better than nothing" fragrance and beats stuff like Joop! Homme and other similar nuclear cheapies.

these are often considered very "summery" frags due to the bright citrusy notes but as you are going for a very special vibe I guess you don't care. note that I tend to niches so for a basic designer frag you'll need to wait for some other replies

the photorealistic citruses (think of a very bright lemon peel): acqua viva by profumum, goutal eau d'hadrien

citrus with a soapy note: Aegean Salt & Citrus by theodoros kalonitis (relatively cheap)

boozy lime: l'eau boisee homme guerlain

fresh grape: vetiver pamplemousse by Zara (very underrated, cheap but discontinued)

you might want to look into minty fragrances too, see menthe fraiche by heeley, menthe Fronde by bijon

Anyone have a recommendation for a frag that smells like a old couch or linen closet?

I dont get why people make a decision based on those kind of tests. Its always random women/girls, each with their individual taste and never enough to make a valid sample size.
If your goal is to appeal to more females or to the most common denominator of females through fragrance, this isnt even an indicator.

I'm kinda new to fragrances, I'm not poor so I got one of those micro perfume things of Creed Aventus and liked it so I got a bottle from brick and mortar authorized retailer
Also blind ordered acqua di gio profumo and Bleu de Chanel
Prior to this I was lightly using acqua di gio absolu and dolce and gabbana k which I got as gifts in the past
Am I doing alright for a newfag? I can see myself wanting to get more into this after being impressed with the Aventus, I've never used a fragrance of that quality before (I understand it may be "overpriced" or whatever but I liked it and can afford it)
