Why is neofolk a signifier of political radicalisation? The only people I see wearing something that‘s not a bastardized appropriation like ‘dark academia’ are unironic hard leftists and fascists.

I think that’s quite possible. Recently acquired pic related. Warming up to earth tones in general. What do I pair it with to be more neofolk? Currently pair it with beige chinos but it’s going to be a cold winter up here so I’m considering getting something warmer (Northumbrian if that helps).
