however, if you’re going to get a 36mm watch i’d like to suggest considering a Day-Date.

You won’t do badly with any. I’d just see what’s available if any in person. I have heard that it’s now difficult to get Speedmasters from an AD and you never know whether a Rolex AD will actually have any watches there.

>> No.17144392

>>17144373
Your intel is out of date.

Omega ADs will have Speedmasters on-hand, if not they can get them within a week.
There was a run on them when they first came out with the new METAS, coaxial movement and that was during the covid supply chain blah blah blah, but they're back to being widely, readily available.

If you're looking for a simple Datejust from your Rolex AD, you will not have to wait more than 6 weeks for one to come in unless you're EXTREMELY specific about wanting a particularly rare color combination.
The Explorer, as well, is reported to have short waiting list times, as the model is way more popular on reddit than it is in the real world. (Which makes sense, since that's why Rolex tried upping the size of the Explorer to 39mm in the first place.)

>> No.17144406

So I own a Speedy Pro and a Black Bay GMT and every time I leave the house with one I think about selling the other, about how much more I like the watch that I'm wearing than the other one but then I get home and look at them together and everything becomes muddled again.

Maybe I should just keep both. The only other watch I want now is a Cartier Tank Cintree or Americaine.

Putin wears a lot of watches but I'd say his Blancpain Aqualung is his regular watch. Kim has a nice rose gold IWC that he tends to wear, the Movado is a beater.

I just don't make "some decent points", I make indisputable points.
A perpetual calendar MUST HAVE a day function. That's what a calendar is, it tells you the day, the date, the month and the year.
The niggers who designed this watch were very well aware of this but they also had to shoehorn this gigantic power reserve and that dumb ass Hz mode which nobody needs. So they said "fuck it" and got rid of the day function, making this watch unusable.
>>17145004
I know that, but it's a stupid idea. At 1.2Hz the watch will be less accurate.
A self winding perpetual calendar with all the right functions is far more useful than this.

Does anyone know why a digital watch stops displaying the time, once it is worn a bit? I'm thinking my arm heats the case (but it survived the heatwave on the desk without issue)
Hoping it's a quick fix...

>>17144875
looks tiny af

>>17144970
looks very cool, might as well buy a complicated watch yes
how thick is it?
VC is my favourite of the trinity just going on the basis that i feel they're the underdog (?)
Patek annoys me and AP seems to be the choice of rappers.

It's unfortunate that the most expensive Rolex is also the ugliest. Daytonas only look good when their vintage or diamond encrusted like the rainbow.

I'm a Rolex fag and I kinda agree. The Daytona does nothing for me. But to be honest I've never found chronographs particulary attractive. The only ones that I like are those vintage inspired chronographs like the VC Cornes de Vaches or the Cartier Tortue Monopoussoir.
