SHORT BOOTS PART 2 ELECTRIC BOOGALOO EDITION

What do I need to care for my boots?
>Old cotton t shirt (one for cleaning, another for applying conditioners)
>Horsehair brush ($10-15)
>Wooden shoe trees ($10-15)
>Light conditioner like Lexol/Bck4
>Heavy conditioner (if you live in terrible snow/rain areas) Sno seal/Obernauf LP

How do I deal with x stain?
>mud: allow it to dry then brush off
>salt: water and cloth as soon as possible
>saturated wet: allow the boot to dry for a full day, stuff with newspaper
>scuffs and scratches: buff vigorously with horsehair brush

I heard it was because the corporation that sells the ice cream machines to mcdonalds managed to get it in the contract that nobody else was allowed to service them. they're designed to break down often, unsurprisingly.
also they'll often tell you it's broken when it's just on a clean cycle or something because it's simpler to explain and then you won't nag them about them said cycle will be over.

Thinking of getting a pair of Thursday double monks. It's gonna get worn like a dozen times a year, tops. Don't wanna spend over $200 for it. Any other suggestion at that price? Thursdays are $176.

Are there any waterproof autumn-spring boots that will last a decade and look good in casual/semi-formal situations.
I've been using pic rel for 4 years but the sole eventually wore out and now water gets in. Still they're the most durable boots I found so far.
Also, is there anything special to do with the boots I don't wear during the summer? I heard that some of them needed specific care so that they would not spoil when not in use.

I get what you're saying, but zero drop hurting your feet means you've got functionally weak feet, which in most people is due from wearing footwear that doesn't conform to the natural anatomy of a human foot, it's like a slow binding process since early age.

Feet that NEED the 'arch support' to essentially brace up against their own arches means your foot wouldn't last long from even going barefoot. "Arch support" can offer a feeling of comfort, sure, but it's also a literal crutch.

also, the correct order is, remove dirt with brush, use the conditioner of your choice, saphir renovateour medaiile d´or is top tier, it wont darken your leather, let it sit overnight, then brush with a different brush that you use mainly for polishing the conditioner, then apply the cream of your choice this will change the color so make sure you have a matching color cream or you can skip this until you see a scuff or want to renew the color, let em sit for another night, then use the polish or wax, let it sit a few hours and then buff with a brush until you get them shiny...
you can wait less but in my experience it does make a difference to let them sit overnight, also use shoe trees when you´re not using them, and dubbin is an extra step that goes before the cream, and again let it sit overnight

>inb4 too many nights, too little time
do whatever you want, i have different shoes that i can rotate while i´m maintaining a different pair

No, like I said, it's the labor. I'll give you an example, this is the typical workflow, after lasting and shanking:
For traditional Nicks:
>Glue on the leather midsole
>Nail the midsole and blake stitch
>Glue on rubber slipsole
>Glue on outsole + nail heel area
>Double stitch the outsole
>Stack leather for the heel + nail
>Glue on heel + nail
>FInishing

Nusoy Nicks:
>Glue on rubber midsole
>Blake stitch and stitch through the upper + midsole
>Glue unit sole
>FInishing

And they charge the same price. Assuming leather and the rubber they use are the same price, it's still a ripoff.
Even on their wedge soles, it's all leather bottom (except slipsole). These new boots don't even have leather lasting board, these don't.
It's all synthetic and they throw in $20 leather insole so they can claim there's some leather down there. LMAO.
People shit on Danner boots because they charge $400 for mystery leather upper with synthetic everything else (lining, bottom), these are worse, IMO.
