I'd only wear a flatcap if I crafted one myself in leather.

So, I'm gay because I'd be proud of wearing my own leather craft that took me 15+ hours to put together myself, rather than dish out $20-50 for some shitty chink made hat? OK.

I would make one what was more traditional looking rather than that personally.

Maybe it's just me, but this looks cringe.

>> No.15974314

I have a similar one to OP pic - which indeed looks cringe - but I've convinced myself that I'm pulling it off. Got a kind of weird, eclectic style where something like this doesn't look quite so out of place as it might with a graphic tee. Helps that I'm often mistaken for a Chad when I wear more typical fits, like athletic clothing. OP, if you're gonna try it, be aware that you're walking a fine line, and if it's not made in Ireland and 100% wool, don't bother. Be prepared to incorporate a little bit of autism into your style, like a spice.

That flat cap looks modern as fuck, theres nothing really out there about it all. That is a young mans cap, look at the ones on the 1930s pic.

Thinking of getting a Lock and Co flat cap but not sure if I'll get cucked by importing from the UK atm with everything that's going on there

I don't know, I think OP has the facial bone structure similar to the men of the early 1900s. The long hair is very off putting though.

what did you mean by this
was there a specific type of bone structure endemic to 1900s men?

Not really they had faces like that because of hard work and malnutrition.

Yeah the hair doesn't fit for that style

Not a fan of duckbill ones, too modern looking. I personally prefer the more earlier 20th century looking bond flat caps, similar to what is being worn on the third post but a little smaller

OPs hair is a bit too long. It's very thick and wavy, but he should cut it between middle of ears and jawline à la pageboy. No longer imo. He would look much better and this length was still common for men 19th century/turn of 20th century.
