I was going to write an angrier post but I took a breath and this is what I have to say to you. I grew up obese. In 5th grade, at 5 foot tall I was already 200 pounds. I maxed out at 315. I weigh 150 pounds now. I’m not gonna gloat about self control or parade arrogantly, but here’s what my weight loss experience has taught me more clearly than anything.


Everyone has complicated feelings about their bodies. If you’re obese, overweight, ED, anorexic, bulimic, I don’t judge. Every single person has an intimate relationship with their own body and the substances they put into it. We all struggle. If you aren’t gonna lend an ear and clear a space for them to share of themselves, then PLEASE LEAVE. This kind of shit-flinging goes both ways and I’m tired of it. Go make bloatmaxxing threads on /ck/ and /soc/ for all anyone cares, plenty of men thirst for fatties, and that’s beautiful. Mad respect to you. But thinness is the beauty the people in this thread are trying to celebrate. Put-downs happen here like anywhere else on this site, but ultimately this is still a thread about celebrating skinny. Can anyone recommend me a good way to cut off the last of this flab that I can't seem to get rid of??? Like any methods to go for that won't make me just gain it back in a months time???
I eat pretty sparsely, but I eat good food (99% veggies and fruits and grains, oils and nuts, barely any processed stuff these days). I also exercise daily, yoga twice a day, early morning jog to the gym and work out 20~ minutes and jog back at least twice a week (i only like to go early in the morning, if I sleep in I won't do it) and I go for walks almost every evening usually after dinner.
I just can't get rid of this tummy fat. it's so persistent. I'm building myself up to get back into cardio cause it's really hard on my body and I've found I never stick at it when I try to just rush head first into it, but I think it's what I need to really start seeing results.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I'm sick of my thighs jiggling >:( and I want to have a flat stomach for once in my fucking life.

I rely on calorie restriction and fasting to lose weight and have lost 28 pounds so far this way. I’m hitting a plateau at this point and before you say anything, i am aware and don’t care that fasting slows your metabolism. I just want to get to 110 so bad but I have recently been eating a bit more than usual (around 1500) every day and am having trouble kicking this habit. Any effective mind games or healthy/unhealthy appetite suppressing ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Biggest problem with most muscle-building info online is that it's written by people who think everyone wants to get aggressively bodybuilder jacked instead of toned. Yeah you'll need to eat just above your maintenance, by like, 300 calories, but mostly you gotta change your macros to emphasize protein and carbs. Fuck I haven't had Toppers since my college days. So that's let's round up to 900kcal, plus a powerade for an extra, what, 200? that's 1100 total plus even a small amount of exercise. You're just fine. Assuming you aren't a hobbit that's probably a 1000kcal deficit, 2 pounds a week at that rate without fasting. Sure you'd make more progress starving yourself harder but you'll do better exercise at the smaller deficit. Make better choices regularly sure but for a cheat day it's better than most of us slobs

I commute to work on my bike and eat whatever I want most days. I wouldn't say I'm the skinniest out of the lot here but my personal thoughts on my relationship with food compared to others is the variety of things I eat, wether it be pasta, rice, beef, vegetables and dairy always do my best not to stick to a routine of eating the same thing everyday. I found you're more likely to break your diet if you look at food as caloric numbers, rather enjoy food and work at bettering your palette and expose yourself to things you'd tend to avoid eating because of fear of dislike.

Yeah, if you live alone, dont make much money, work every day, dont have much time for cooking, and spend your time/energy on hobbies, then food becomes more of an annoyance than a pleasure. I try to go as long as possible without eating, not because of "aesthetix" but because it's just a pain in the ass. Usually when I do eat it's because I'm drinking coffee to deal with withdrawal and need food to avoid an anxiety trip.

Not doubting that but burning excessive amounts of calories helps loosen diets up making the process more streamlined. Riding for an hour a day at a certain excursion increases your metabolism since you're burning more calories, giving you the luxury of having a nice cheat snack to keep oneself motivated. I found out fasting is more manageable than restricting calories, it gives you a lot of power once you get past the initial cravings, the trick is switching your reward mechanism from immediate pleasure to control.
That said, if the metric conversion is correct, you're already underweight and should be careful since you can fuck up your internal organs and deeply regret it later in your life.
