Why does everyone shit on cargo shorts? They're comfy and easy to wear.

Pocket envy.
Women make endless sacrifices of practicality for fashion's sake: fake pockets, pants so tight they have to be pulled on with a coat hanger for leverage, flimsy fabrics for layering, so on and so forth.
Cargo shorts are a flagrant display of comfort and utility that undermines every little white lie they tell themselves when they say "this is worth it". It's humiliating, a spit in the face.

And of course, crabs in the bucket bitches that they are, they would sooner shame you into conforming than change their ways and admit error.

Most are overdesigned with way too many pockets and straps and shit. The 'utilitarian' aspect of cargo pants/shorts only work if you're actually out in the field or something because if you fill your pockets when you're walking around in the city you look like an autist.
