Has anyone else tried Kajal Homme? I actually sampled it only because the bottle is so nice. At first I disliked it because I was getting this weird kind of vaguely sour smell but now I like it. It's getting a lot of hype from popular youtubers, so normally I would think that it's some sort of paid endorsement and totally ignore it, but Gents Scents reviewed it and I trust him. I get that it only matters whether I like it or not, but this is one where I'm actually having a hard time figuring out if I love it or am indifferent.

>For this new creation, Jean Jacques, CARON’s exclusive, in-house perfumer, chose the unique scent of hazelnut. Fiery, green and delicious, the hazelnut blends with the woody scents of earth and tobacco from Haitian vetiver. Good shitpost. Bal A Versailles absolutely ridicules PdM as a concept house. It's a dense, room-filling animalic, balsamic fragrance with some flowery-spicy twists to it. Do you think Louis XIV and his court were smelling of metrosexual vanilla-apple thingy like Layton? In 1743 French aristocracy was literally taking dumps under the staircases in Versailles, not washing themselves for weeks or months as they believed washing was a cause of plethora of diseases and putting kilos of toxic powder on their faces and bodies. Kinda felt the same last time I wore it. My nose also became way more used to animalic smells over time. I remember the first time I sprayed

>Tuxedo

there's a story to be told. of good and evil. a cosmic schism, a wild funnel where the point of singularity, the final escape is only the beginning. the story is true and it's become a cold tale told in warm places. a story of the eater and the eaten. people speak of ysl. yes, they speak of the house and it's cherished, it's glistenings. of it's revered, always it's revered with that air of sophistication, of softness and care. something complacent and beautiful and has made a custom of turning it's back on it's wicked dealings, it's past it hopes to forget in the silence of death. this has become futile, because in the years since the tremor has only become more violent, and in these years they've learned to disregard the hunger. they've starved it but is doesn't die. it only becomes hungrier... and in it's place they've become a symbol of regality, of sterile streamlined luxury in a white room. le vestiaire des parfums they call it. simplicity and elegance. a swooning dance in sweeping silk on a bed of vapors... a dream even. all in vain because it's been fed only the best, and it's never known a want. it's slept ceaslessly, carelessly above the earth where at it's center spins in pangs of hunger and fury, of agony something brutish. they say it may come later. but later is now, the hour is now. it's been a matter of then but not now and then is now and now has been here forever... and they say to always remember that saying said only in the dark: "Tuxedo is the mother, Kouros is the wolf."

>Lalique Pour Homme
Definitely a fragrance of the same genre as Nicolai NYI and Creed BdP (closer to the latter - it's missing the bright zesty bergamot-black pepper opening) but with less personality. A solid budget alternative though which distinguishes itself from the other two with powdery twist akin to Dior Homme. 8/10
>Korloff Royal Oud
Yet another synthetic Oud+Rose combo. 3/10
>Korloff In White
An okay bright violet leaf frag with some spiciness to it. 6/10
>Davidoff Zino
Dark, super synthetic earthy-woody bomb. Nothing like Beau De Jour. 3/10
>Davidoff Champion
The bottle is hilariously kitschy. But the fragrance is a snice aromatic freshie. Reminds me the 25th Anniversary edition of Calvin Klein Eternity because of clary sage. 7/10
>Cartier Declaration
A very classy fresh spicy scent. The dominant note are oranges and green tea to my nose. There's also an overall spicy aura around these two but I can't really distinguish notes as the scent is blended very smoothly. One could blind guess that it was created by the same nose as Frederic Malle's Cologne Bigarade by the way he used the orange note in both. 8/10

Speaking of Jean-Claude Ellena who created Declaration and Cologne Bigarade; apparently he has became the creative director of Le Couvent Maison de Parfum. The in that was mostly known for the biggest steal among fragrances from pic related. He released with the brand 20+ new fragrances in three lines that are all quite affordable and made in 90%+ out of natural ingredients. I'm really curious about the botanical line with EdCs. In particular Aqua Millefolia seems like something that I'd love. Wondering if it'll become a success or just perish in the oversaturated niche market and we'll see these on discounter websites soonish. In any case I'm putting these on my radar.

Remember what we did to Hal Turner because he was a racist? Remember going after Scientology? Remember how memes used to be? They weren’t mean spirited, they were usually just funny references or random shit. Honestly, old /b/ was basically what Reddit is now. Only newfags think that 4chan was always le edgy intarnet hate machine.

I also notice a lot more insecurity and ultra-masculine alpha male bullshit posturing. Well lads, I’ve been slacking because this thread’s been pretty shit the last little while, but the last few threads have been pretty based and I just had a fucking awesome booking. Saw this blonde girl, has her age listed as 24, but I’d have guessed 18 or 19. Ho lee fook. Probably the hottest girl I’ve ever been with. Perfect body, gorgeous face, one of the nicest pussies I’ve ever seen. So pink and tiny, no extra meat... I had her in reverse cowgirl, bent forward grabbing my ankles with her amazing ass bouncing up and down, watching her pussy gliding up and down my dick... Jesus!

Sorry, literally happened like 20 minutes ago and I’m still coming down. Anyway, we talked frags a bunch, went through my collection a bit. She thought the Zootopian were really cool and loved Sloth. She also thought T Rex was interesting, though we only sprayed a little on some paper. I wore Musc Ravageur, which she liked a lot too. She also specifically said she hated One Million, so add another to the tally of escorts who’ve told me they hate that shit. She doesn’t like Sauvage either, she said a bunch of her clients wear it and she’s really sick of it. She told me she likes a lot of the higher-end stuff but she can’t find it a lot of the time, so I told her about fragrancebuy, fragrancenet, and luckyscent. Really cool chick. Pretty good body but she clearly fakes the angles on photos as you can tell that she doesn't exercise. She probably was blue on her face after holding breath for 100 pics with this pose. However, I'm quite surprised that she posts so much of her boyfriend on ig. I was also considering her a social media influencer thot in the making but all of these posts with her boyfriend don't go with this narrative. She for sure lost shitload of followers and double that won't ever follow her because of these pics. I've been dating some girls with pretty big social media presence in past. No pictures with boyfriends/fiances was the rule #1 that agencies were telling them. He's neither strikingly attractive nor famous, so she either really loves him or he knows how to dick her well. Either way good for him.

"It is designed by Pascal Gaurin of IFF. He has done a few commercial scents for Kilian that feature musks. Musk Deer smells like a fine perfume but more in a niche-niche way than commercial-niche way. The opening is an ambiguous "cold chilly" woody floral with jasmine and orris, then moves on to a slightly raunchy musky dry down (musks + a little real oud). The scent doesn't scream (exact opposite of Hyrax), but lasts on the skin quietly for almost a day. I'd say it's like a gentlemanly Muscs Kublai Khan walking in a cold Siberian forest. To me it's lonely and quiet, a demure, stately sexy scent"

>> No.15524998

Not really, but obviously gourmands will be more common in the winter, as will oriental spicy. Autumn is similar. Spring is usually more woody and fresh while summer is more floral and fresh.
Any sport fragrance is guaranteed to be for the high heat / summer. Chanel Allure Homme (non-sport) is definitely more autumn, but could probably be used year-round.

I tried to do one some time ago. That's basically what I did. I took bunch of natural ingredients I bought from Mellifluence Etsy shop (two different frankincense CO2/absolute, labdanum absolute, rosewood melange and opoponax 50% resinoid) and mixed them together. But that's where it gets more complicated. To get desired properties like projection or longevity you must think very carefully what else you can add to achieve them and don't fuck up the smell. I started adding hedione and bergamot and eventually got the right balance but it took plenty of tries. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it but foremostly it was a good lesson how hard it is to make perfumes: despite relatively small amount labdanum added it still dominates the scent, rosewood for some reason became a top-middle note instead of a base note that it's supposed to be, it could also project better. Knowing how all ingredients interact is really not a piece of piss and it made me appreciate people creating even remotely good smelling perfumes way more.
