You likely never got a reply because Europe isn't a country. It's a continent and within said continent there are different styles in blazers and sports jackets and different cuts so saying you're simply from "Europe" gives people nothing to work from.

It's like Somalia and Egypt being in Africa but they are vastly different countries.

>> No.15478820

>>15478795
Yeah I know there are different styles in Europe.. That's why I'm asking for /tip/ style sport coats and not British or Italian. J.keydge and hardy and Johnson did them before they disappeared so I'm sure it's possible. I'm asking about Europe because that would expand my options and postage is very easy and cheap within the EU. There's a few euros in these threads so I'm sure some have some advice regarding sport coats etc.

Merci in advance

Personally I prefer shirts without the breast pocket. The shoulders look OK, not totally fitted. The hips are too baggy for my taste.

You may want to try various fits at the store. Usually there is a sizing chart on them. For example, European size 40 casual fit is close to size 42 slim fit for me, but the larger size is more comfortable around the shoulders.

By the way, any news regarding your blazer?

I'm not complaining, I'm just trying to converge on a proper fitting shirt. This is what I posted a couple threads back. The consensus was it was too small. I added an inch to the shoulders, 3/4" to the chest, and 4" to the midsection. I'm thinking I'll try to take the average of the two shirts next time.

You can specify the exact fit, including the front and back rise. So if you want something trad like the pants you posted, just pick custom sizing, use their regular size as the base, bump the front rise up to 11" or maybe even 11.5", and the back rise to 16"-17".

Then probably add an inch to seat to recreate that extra room in your pic.

The shirt isn't a bad fit, it's just not tucked in properly. Just because Paul Newman made it look good doesn't mean it will look good on you. Newman made anything he wore look good, be it oversized suits or short sleeved dress shirts. You should be discerning as to what he wore that would work on you and the occasional item of clothing that he was doing a massive favour.

Sorry for late reply but yes. Cop or not? Its a BB 3/2 Tweed.

The button spacing is very strange, especially since it looks to be a closed coat, this also affects the notches which are quite high.
If you don't have any tweed herringbone coats and you're very impatient then go for it (depending on the price) if not, it's a pass for me.

Have you ever worn a coat which is too big? It's certainly not comfortable and what it makes it worse is that you're probably going to be self conscious about it, at least most people would be and this obviously shows.

Its only self-conscious because you are conditioned like that. It it does feel better when lying or lounging around. Like if I were going to lay down on the couch and read, I'd rather have an oversized jacket than a fitted one.

The shoulders clearly look like they're way too big, I even tried it in the same pose with my coat and it did not potrude as much his did.

Yeah but not outside since people will definitely see you, and whether you like it or not, people will judge, even normies now that something looks ill fitting, at least in the shoulders, chest and waist.
>Like if I were going to lay down on the couch and read, I'd rather have an oversized jacket than a fitted one.
But why would you lounge around in a jacket? Wouldn't it be better if you wore a jumper/cardigan or just a shirt? You would look much better and it would probably be better.
