Love boots but feel like they aren't a good option where I live: I don't want to make the investment only to have them damaged by rain. Do any anons live in very rainy countries? If so what do you wear?

Leather boots are fine in rain as long as you treat them with something like fiebings conditioner prior to taking them out, use saddle soap weekly and retreat with conditioner so the leather doesnt crack. Leather boots can withstand raindrops and splashes but you obviously cant submerge them or else you run the risk of them rotting from the inside out. When buying a boot be sure it's a full rubber sole, not split leather/rubber. Water will make it's way into split soles easily.

Also leather heelstacks fare pretty well in rain, just be sure to treat those as you would the leather upper since it can get drenched with water then dry out and split.

Thanks for the recommendation. But APC is waaaayyy out of my price range and I haven't been able to find this jacket on their site or others (Admittedly only after a surface level search). They have similar jackets available but like $1000+

The only brand I know with an exact reproduction is Basic Rights which did a collaboration with the company that made the original custom jacket, it was like $750.

The trick is to mix the old timey clothing with modern clothing
