I've been wanting to get a pair of harness boots for a while now but every time I consider getting a pair, I realize I'm not a 90 lb twink who can pull off the YSL look, is it even worth spending the money on leather harness boots? It's a look I really enjoy. Is it worth going for the Brock Sampson look?

For reference I'm 5'9" 190lbs. Not adonis or anything but mostly average build.

Post a fit pic or something so we can get a sense of your build. At 190 you can't go LOCKSTA but that doesn't mean you can't wear harness boots .

Yeah, you don't look that bad for 190. I think you can get away with harness boots if you pair them with looser pants, but ones that still have a nice taper. Kinda like what Haider is wearing in this pic. If you wanna do denim, a loose tapered fit like uniqlo's regular taper + a diy raw hem ending just above the harness would look cool.

Oh I do kinda like that. Good comfy fit for sure. I think my ideal fit would definitely be shirt tucked in with blue denim, slightly tapered. I also dont know very many non-premium boot brands either but I can explore options.

Best of luck bro. Idk what your budget is, but if you don't wanna do SLP pricing, give 'from the first' or 'everyday hero' a look. They're basically SLP knockoff brands, but the quality is decent and they're 1/3 of the price new. Less than that if you grab someone's mis-sized pair off of grailed.
