Reminder that Breitling is still fighting the good fight by staying outside of the (((Swatch Group))).

They make their own movements and even have a fully dedicated wing to certify their movements for COSC specifications.

Their current in-house Chrono movement, B01/B09, is designed/inspired after Rolex’s 3135 and 4130 movements.

The escape wheel has a neat shockproof oil retaining system. It has a column wheel with a vertical clutch.

It’s such a good movement that Tudor uses it in their watches and builds upon it.

It’s probably the best new chronopgraph movement under $10k.

If you want another chrono that uses a column wheel with a vertical clutch from someone like Omega you would have to pay around $13k.

To be fair it'd be nice if it had one of the better miyotas like the 9015 or 9039 (which is what's in the aquascaphe). I just don't think the crystal being acrylic is a con to be honest. They tend to have much nicer domes & no milky ring like with sapphire crystals.

none, just watch watchbox and watchfinder on mute.
any time a watch channel talks it degrades the quality. they're all in it for money anyways so you can't trust what they say, and they take away from your own personal enjoyment of the watch by trying to instill their own subjective opinion (to make you buy it).
watchbox is the best because Tim posts a shit ton of videos on a good number of watches. but they're not "reviews" because he gives each watch a 10/10 assessment. I watch them for objective visuals about watches I'm trying to buy.

This is true for 99% of watchfags. But that's to be expected, when 99% of watches are aimed at that audience.

Owning a Rolex is like owning a fucking Supreme shirt and thousand dollar sneakers. There is literally no argument you can make against this, the only difference is you're trying to impress middle management dads who spend their days off playing golf instead of zoomers playing fortnite.

add to this youtube's recent forray into promoting content creators who produce on a more consistent basis and punish people who have inconsistent upload schedules. tgv was never going to succeed especially when his competition (teddy baldessare, time teller) have no qualms with making even more soulless videos on a more consistent basis. they are growing at a faster rate than tgv did and they get 20-30k views at a faster rate than tgv does. tgv suffered from being at the right place at the wrong time (too early) while people like teddy came just in time for the sudden boom in watch enthusiasm in recent years.

Actual unironic god tier watch youtubers:

. TheWatches.tv (lives in Switzerland, goes to the shows, 4k footage, excellent presenter, gets obscure haute brands like mb&f)

. WatchAdvisor.com (similar to above, does extremely high quality footage, excellent tours of swiss watch houses and manufacturing process)

. London Watch Collector (everyday guy who just films his passion, 4k, chilled relaxed attitude, talks about his AD experience, mostly high end brands)

. GF watch (for lower or mixed price stuff, his Chinese accent might piss off retards though)

. Swiss Watch Gang (god tier footage, seems to film every single high end brand, excellent interviews with high end collectors)

. UptickWatchReviews (similar to London watch collector except he lives in China, has a slightly mixed mid to high end collection)
