Sweet shades and polo. Lose the Mechanic jacket and pants. The sleeves are too long and the rise on your pants are too low making your hips look even wider. I’m also guessing they’re SLIM. The combination of the tapered leg and low rise will make your hips look even wider.

seven sisters style is the inspo start point. Personally I love Ralph Lauren's women's line. It's the best during the fall imo. If you're hitting the beach a lot this year it has some good stuff.
In terms of suits, I'm not sure if there is very much info for women. I always thought Blake Lively pulled off the femme suit extremely well in gossip girl & a simple favor & life. So using here is a decent start for how you might want the fit. I'd imagine you'll need to do a lot of tailoring.
Double breasted seems much easier for women to pull off.

Do you wear loafers?
It's about to be summer so wearing loafers instead of sneakers is a nice first step. They go with jeans, chinos, shorts, skirts, etc. Still casual but still a step up from sneakers.
I bought my wife these madewell loafers and she really enjoys them.

If you're skinny/tall enough, the wide leg pants look is also pretty awesome for women. These pants for example, paired with a white OCBD button down and some simple loafers. You're still a tomboy but you have some femme flair.
If you can't tell, my wife is very into the whole modern/yuppie/Blake lively look.
Checkout Aritizia for women's clothing. They make a lot of really great simple office clothes but aren't Ann Taylor exactly (still a decent place).
All of the skirts, sweaters, overcoats, pants, and blouses my wife has bought from Aritizia have been top notch.

They are Buzz Rickson's. I live in Japan and am 180 with an athletic/muscular build with big legs and butt. Extremely difficult to find clothes that fit here. Those pants fit just right at the waist and have a high enough rise to be comfortable, a rarity here for someone my size. I tried the next size up and it was too big to sit at the waist, kept dropping to the hips.
It sucks finding clothes that fit here. Everything is low rise and small.

NAYRT, but you basically can't ever fix trousers being too tight around the pelvis. They would need to have an ungodly amount of spare fabric to take out right round, and that basically never happens in off-the-rack clothing. Sell that pair on Ebay or something, or return/exchange for the size up if you're still within the return limit, then take Anon's advice and get a bigger pair taken in at the waist.

As a general thing, this is very common for athletic/built guys. Unless you go fully tailored, you're just going to have to get used to buying big and having all your shit altered -- but you should be having it altered anyway if you want your clobber to fit well, so it's not that big a deal.

lmao have you ever been to /fit/? literally the gayest board possible.

does anyone else feel like dressing well is starting to paint a target on your back in majority non-white metro areas? so much hatred lately for everything remotely associated with white people.
personally I've just stopped going to parts of the city that aren't supper yuppie or gentrified.
even when I did dress for the occasional dark room techno show in the bad part of town, the harassment was still present. I couldn't imagine walking those places in daylight in /tip/ style without the risk of being jumped.

>Guys, I want to get some Clarks.
Take a look at the Rancourt ranger mocs. I've had lots of people ask me if they're clarks and say they really like them.
>Is Distressed Taupe suede okay for fall/winter or should I stick to Beeswax?
I wore my suede ranger mocs all fall/winter when it wasn't wet and loved it.
>Would that be too easy to stain?
You do have to be careful.
>Is comfort the same for suede and regular leather?
I prefer suede if you're rocking no socks. Otherwise it really shouldn't matter if you have socks.
>How is the maintenance?
Generally the same. I find hitting my shoes with a suede brush a bit easier compared to the upkeep of leather.

I have been looking at rural land for awhile. Honestly it's probably what I'll end up doing. Hardest part would be getting a high speed connection so I need to find some near an internet highway or datacenter farm.

I really enjoyed some of the posts on affordable wardrobe but I feel like I could do with more information on thrifting clothing. I got hints at things like cotton's typically being harder to find in good condition than wool garments which is a bit of a pain given how much I like corduroy, but any information is good information.

Some questions I have are what items am I likely to be able to thrift well via eBay in the UK, what things can I look for, and on the topic of tweed is all Harris Tweed created equal or should I take care to avoid the stuff produced for cheaper labels? It's going to be a while before I can buy things anyway so I might as well stock up on information.
