Just got into a new place, and just trying to get some inspo going on for future designs. Was thinking about pic related for living/dining area. Trying to stick with a Green/brown/white and some pink hues here and there. Definitely growing plants, too.

Guys, I rearranged my desk area to be along the wall instead of against the windows. Did I fuck up? I also finally got this bamboo stand, which I'm digging. But it's not wide enough, so I think I might order one that's wider and allow me to hide some cables better. Then I'll use this one elsewhere.

What do you guys think?

Yeah I think it looks better freeing up the window space. Not sure what to do with that space though. A couch kind of makes sense but would like something a bit more informal/loose - maybe a few bean bags or something else on the ground? I did want to get some more shelves to put plants along the window.

I agree about the cables. It's a standing desk so I need to keep them loose enough so they can extend. Need to figure something about.

Haha nice, well it's functional for now. Still, should you decide on some rug, I'd definitely place it differently.

I feel what you mean regarding the lamp, especially since right now the thing looks a bit lost in the space.
If you decide to switch the lamp with the plants, maybe you can use a stand with a lower height, maybe that makes the body to the left of the table "sit" a bit better in the room. Maybe even a larger plant could work.

Some art on the wall could be cool too, might even balance the look of the cables out a bit, I dunno.

The arrangement is much better towards the wall than at the window though! I could see myself chilling on the other side of the room in these bean bags you talked about.

> arrangement is much better towards the wall than at the window

Ok nice, that's good to hear!

I think I'm gonna replace the existing tall shelf with this one, which should allow me to rest the pc horizontally and move it towards the bottom. Might move that taller shelf to the left of the desk, which would allow me to play with the lamp up top or completely move it elsewhere.

Yeah you're right. The chair was left by the previous tenant, and it's all I had at the time (just moved in) so I just kept it. Same thing with the stand that the lamp is on. I'll likely get rid of it eventually, but it's a bit hard to get decent furniture right now in quarantine.

Here's the latest development :3
