Don’t wear typical manual labor workers clothes which skaters usually prefer: denim jackets, trucker jackets, flannel shirts, dickies pants etc. Sport clothes are also big no.
Instead focus on everything associated with prep/trad but style it oversized: dress shirts, chunky knitwear, cardigans, tweed coats, pleated pants etc. Military stuff could be carefully introduced into outfit as well but escape full military or too much esrthtones and camo comined together.

The most important part is the fit itself. Baggy clothes need to fit right at in some area to look nice e.i baggy pants should still fit tighter on the waist/butt and baggy sweaters should still have relatively tight collars, otherwise it looks overly boxy and you end up looking like a child wearing his dads clothes.
If you don't want to look generic try wearing unusal color palletes without as many primsry colors. Also don't do basic color matching from shoes to hat or shoes to shirt, use complimentary colors instead.
