5ml is overdoing it a bit. 2ml can last you a full week and maybe more, that's enough to make up your mind on a frag. Out of the houses you mentioned, MFK and Tauer have the cheapest sampling sets, where you get 5 or 6 samples of 2ml. I'd do that to begin with, especially given that you're new and you need to smell around a bit before you form your own taste.

I've went more or less through everything they got from Bois 1920. In general I must say that I'm positively surprised. Good variety and quality of scents. The general balance is put towards fresher things which is what I was looking for. There were 4 that caught my attention. I will be brief with descriptions as I don't have as much talent for it as our resident youtuber ScentScav.
>Itruk
Fresh incense fragrance. Freshness comes form spices and black pepper which goes really well with frankincense. There's also some sweetness to it.
>Parana
Fruity chypre akin to Cedrat Boise/Aventus genre. Very pleasant thing which is more interesting that CB/Aventus thanks to heavier fruits. The blackcurrant is really juicy and photo realistic (in which it reminds me a bit of Byredo Pulp).
>Oro Nero
Very smooth oriental spicy vanilla. Spices are a bit middle eastern but everything is done in a western way. A bit feminine leaning.
>Sushi Imperiale
Bloody hell, that's a one good fragrance. Big, three dimensional citruses with a lot of spices. From the notes I can read anise and cinnamon but there's something more there. This is what I expected Haeckels Pegwell Bay to be like. Thanks god anise and spices here are not pastry/christmas-like and cloying as in Pegwell Bay and the whole thing is really refreshing. I took a sample of it home and might cop for Spring.

Sorry for the rotation. Anyway, I moved then to Profumum Roma. They have yet to disappoint me. I came there to find test some fresh stuff but ended up smelling some other things from their line-up.
>Patchouly
I like dark stuff but it's just too much for me. This brings the darkest, most earthy and complex aspects of patchouli that one typically knows only from its sweet (often complementing rose) facets. Probably the second most gothic Profumum Roma after Arso.
>Olibanum
10/10 fresh incense. There's some lovely basil-like thing lingering in the background that it makes it the most out of the box incense fragrance I smelled today (and I smelled handful).
>Acqua Viva
I will just quote the Jovoy's notes breakdown here
Top: lemon
Middle: lemon
Base: lemon
And it is the best lemon I've ever smelled in my life. Real lemons smell synthetic to it. I ended up buying 18ml bottle.
>Orangea
Absolutely stunning green, citrusy fragrance. This is one of the two ex aequo winners from Profumum today.
>Dambrosia
It's an alright fruity salad. Profumum accurately puts classical pictures of cornucopia on their marketing materials for Dambrosia. Heavy on figs but a bit too baroque-ish. There's too much happening here and I'm actually surprised that it's a Profumum Roma's fragrance. They're typically very minimalist with their means of expressions and you can't count more than 4 ingredients in their note breakdowns.
>Icnhusa
This is the fig winner of today. Imagine the zesty greenness of Xerjoff Nio mixed with figs taken from Diptyque's Philosykos but both with more natural ingredients and better blended. You'll end up with Ichnusa. Might cop a bottle.

I also tested some other stuff including this overhyped Fragrance Du Bois thing.
>London Oud
You can get a better aquatic toilet refresher for less than £300.00.
>Oud Noir Intense
Let's don't waste time.

Staff at Jovoy were top lads again and gave me free samples of Profumum Romas and Sushi Imperiale in a nice little box.

Then I called this Kiwi plate I have in London, and we went to L'Eto for saffron cake and coffee. I always thought of Knightsbridge/Sloane Street area as of a British petromoney extraction/laundering scheme but today felt almost like somewhere in the Middle East. I reckon we were the only white people in the Café and it didn't get better later. My conviction got stronger once we arrived to Harrods. If I could name one trend that we will see growing in perfumery in the 2020s it'd be the industry further blowing Arabs for their petromoney. Did you know that half of the brands you like instead of creating new things that you might like focus rather on producing 'ittar' versions of your favorite scents which are exclusive to luxury department stores like Harrods/Selfridges? For example, I tried an 'ittar' version of Nasomatto Black Afgano. It costs some ridiculous money for a cute 4ml bottle (that I thought was a sample at first). The Sales Assistant tried to convince me how good and more intense it is. Unfortunately for her I had luck of trying the first formulations of BA and it doesn't come close. I would say that the oil version is worse than the current EdP. It's overwhelmingly sweet without any smokiness. Even Serge Lutens instead of putting effort in creating something genuinely good after almost 10 years of slapping their labels on very mediocre fragrances focuses now on creating 'ittars' out of their classics. The brand that used to be known (like Frederic Malle) for simple bottles that contrasted with their top class content makes now exclusive to Harrods gold-plated bottles with some quite disappointing scents inside. The only good thing is that they use these cute paper fortune-tellers as testing strips for them lol. I tested plenty of other some stuff on the Harrods' ground floor pefumery before going to the last floor. I'll post a random selection of them in the next post. I couldnt find Carolina Herrera that some other anon asked me for though

Depends on the clone. Some are good while some are not. Some markets have better clone markets than others, too. Which imitation are you looking at?
As for the nuance, some try to be exactly what the original is, while some try to add in their own touches, sometimes to cut costs, sometimes to do what they perceive as improving it.

>Zegna Roman Wood
The new one from the exclsive Zegna line. had high expectations as I really like this line and the note pyramid looked promising. What I god instead of a good quality sylvan fragrance was some low-designer overlysafe woody thing.
>YSL Tuxedo
I got a sample of Rochas Moustache this morning, so was keen on compering them. There's almost no difference between these two for my nose. Someone couple threads back had a really good call by bringing it up.
>Robert Piguet Al Casbah
The reference dark, bitter incense.
>Amouge Overture
I really expected more from it. The myrrh is nice but Roja does cognac miles better. It's quite austere in form and I can imagine someone liking it for it though.

Then we went to the last floor of Harrods where there's a selection of uber-luxurious fragrance boutique (and only Arabs around). We went to Frederic Malle first as I wanted to buy something for the girl as she was really bummed after the fashion week where she didn't get any work. I really liked the shop for a simple design akin to Malle's bottles and visible everywhere respect that Malle has for his perfumers. Her favorite was POAL but it's the one I bought for my girlfriend some time ago and a man must know limits with cheating, so I bought her a small bottle of Musc Ravageur instead. Till now she only used Marc Jacobs and some other designer crap, so that's her first grow up frag and fuck me she smells soooo goood with it. Then we went to the most ridiculous shop in this arguably quite ridiculous department shop. Namely:

He got there two brands really worth the money that I appreciate though. First one being really surprisingly Profumum Roma that didn't match his idea for the shop with their simple square bottles. Maybe that's why they were hidden on the back wall lol. The second: MDCI Parfums. I'm the resident shill of MDCI here and hence felt obliged to test something else that the trio I typically mention (CP,IB,Fetes Persanes).
>Ambre Topkapi
Very pleasant citrusy fougere. I remember smelling it long time ago in Jovoy and what I had in my memory was only pineapple. It's really prominent but there's so much more happening here. It's floral, citrusy, fruity animalic. It's a pity I didn't test it on my skin.
>Peche Cardinal
Lads, fucking wow lads. It's marketed towards women but holy fuck it's mind blowingly good. My favorite peach heavy fragrance to the date was Roja's Diaghilev (actually one of very few that I like form him). But the peach here is so much better and juicy that Diaghilev's peach smells like a 1-dimensional arab clone comparing to it. I think a guy could easily pull it off if he's not afraid of juicy fruity scents.
>Un Coeur en Mai
Hands down one of the best rose fragrances I smelled. It's really bitter, herbal but fresh at same time. If not the sweet geranium there I think a guy could wear it too. However with it, the whole thing is a bit too feminine for my liking.

Little did I know though that the funniest experience today waited for me at the Xerjoff's shop next door. The coked out of this dimension gentleman who was waiting for us happened to be Kostas. The UK brand ambassador and creator of some of Xerjoff fragrances. He came to us in a full sleaze suit with 3 undone buttons in his shirt from a booth opposite to Xerjoff's where he was chatting up some young SAs. I was just waiting for him to tell us that with a car we can go anywhere. He probably just didn't expect anyone to go to his shop on the last floor 1h before closing so one can't really blame him for doing an innocuous line as a starter for the starting soon Saturday night. He obviously began with showing his new Xerjoff exclusive for Harrods 'Alexandria III inspired by Kostas' which was a quite snice rose+oud fragrance. It was different from what I remembered Alexandria II to be like though. I told him that, and he got angry and started correcting me that it's not much different at all lmao. However, we had a nice chat about sourcing oud and reformulations after it. He also explained to me the correct pronunciation of 'Xerjoff'. I have always pronounced it in an Italian way because the brand is Italian but struggled with 'X' as there's no such letter in the alphabet but apparently just like 'Roja' is a stylized version of Roger, 'Xerjoff' is a stylized version of Sergio - the Xerjoff owner's name. Things got a bit weird when the guy started telling me that he knows Brian May from Queens and telling me about the abstract fragrance that he's working on with him that is supposed to be inspired by astrophysics. You can't make this shit up. I'm going to bed now, hope you had good time reading my blogpost. Please subscribe, comment and leave your likes below.

Jovoy always give samples for free to me when I'm there in person (they also have very reasonable prices when ordering online). The other time a SA gave me 10-20 extras that I didn't ask for for free just because we had a nice chat. If I remember correctly Les Senteurs charge you as much as on the website. On the other hand Bloom charge you £2 for any 1ml sample no matter what's their price on the website is (and it can be over £10 per 1ml sometimes). I think they just don't have a system to check the prices of samples in store. I never sampled anything too expensive from them for that reason though as I felt it's not okay to circumvent their online prices that way. It's a really great independent shop and people working there are always nice to me. I probably wouldn't give a crap if it was Harrods that I could cheap samples from.

So, interesting evening. I had a lady booked, but evidently when the agency sent the driver over, she wasn’t there and they couldn’t reach her. Got a very apologetic call from the owner offering me a replacement girl and a discounted rate.

So, the girl I wound up getting was a very hot Czech lady and she was a legitimate fraghead. She was wearing Le Labo Neroli 36 (she showed me the bottle in her purse). She also told me she wears Philosykos and Mojave Ghost during the summer. She also showed me some super expensive Italian frag she was planning to order. I can’t remember what it was called, some house I’d never heard of, but the notes were Rose, cannabis, incense, and Oud, and it was quite expensive. It was like 300€ for 10mls, if I recall. We had a lot of fun going through my collection. She knew all kinds of niche houses. She loved the Chypre Palatin I was wearing.

The sex was also very good, so there’s that too. Great night overall. Not the lady I was expecting to see, but turned out to be a really nice time.

Good unisex fragrance for lowkey femboys?

>> No.15032083

I bought about 10 samples and have got a decent wear with each one. Maybe I can help anyone out with something they like.

1.Prada L'homme edt - Love at first smell. It's this sweet clean iris but somehow a little powdery scent that I fell in love with at first smell. It is very unique and high quality and absolutely perfect as a daily wear signature for me. I also tried the intense version but I enjoy the original more. It's so good. Great performance but modest projection just how I like it. Definitely getting a bottle.

2.Tom Ford Noir Extreme EDP - At first I didn't like this. The opening is very harsh and in your face. I was going to blind buy at first but decided to buy sample and i'm glad I did. As it dries down I really began to enjoy it. The ingredients really smell natural. It's warm and woody mostly with some vanilla creeping in the background. Good performance and a nice surprise.

3. Ferrari Bright Neroli - This is how I imagine an italian man to smell. He probably lives off government assitance, has no job, but is good with the ladies and thinks highly of himself. You get a nice blast of the orange blossom when you first spray. Then the white floral comes in and stays. It leans a little feminine but it's still a man scent. And if you are brand new I can see some thinking about a granny scent just from the flower note. That being said this one surprised me it's a maybe buy. It's cheap and a great summer scent that will not offend a soul.

4. Paco Rabanna 1 Million Lucky EDT - There is some ingredient all his scent use that I can smell. I used to own invicitis and the same synthetic note is in here as well. This one was pretty nice but didn't blow me away. It had great staying pwoer though. 1 spray and I smelled it on my shirt 12 hours later. It's sweet and nice. People say they smell popcorn but I don't get that really. Small hazelnut note in the background.

>> No.15032108

5. Mugler Cologne - This smells like if a higher quality Irish spring was made into a mist. Very soapy and great for a couple spray after a shower or at the gym.

6. Yves Saint Laurent Y Live EDT - Boring blue synthetic. Picture a blue bottle citrus scent. It smells just like what you're imagining. There's the smallest touch of something in here that makes it a tad different maybe it's the "ginger" but it isn't even close to being that noticeable.

7. Armani Code Absolu EDP - This one is ok but there is a weird note in here for me. I'm not sure I like it. I put 2 sprays on and I kind of got queasy. Very sweet and will cloy just like profumo. I already own profumo and I will just stick with that.

8. Parfums Vintage Pineapple Vintage Intense EDP - I got shilled from youtubers to try this and it's my least fav by far. My batch was extremely smoky pineapple. The majority is a heavy smoke then there is some pineapple and musk. It stays pretty linear and lasts and lasts and lasts. Best performance of my samples by far but not an enjoyable scent for me to wear.

>> No.15032153

Not him but they’re quite different. Mugler Cologne is very fresh and clean in a soapy kind of way. Bright Neroli is a more floral fragrance. Still fresh and citrusy, but with more dominant florals, as the name might suggest. I get really good performance from Mugler Cologne and average from BN, but for the price of BN I’m happy. It does lean more feminine than MC if you care about that sort of thing.

Yeah, don't get me wrong. I love these guys too. They hit the nail on the head perfectly with their reviews for me. The formula of reciting notes memorized from fragrantica and repeating the same things as everyone else got really boring but for some reason made some reviewers hundreds of thousands of followers cementing that that's how a fragrance review should look like. I much prefer Wafts' take on fragrances where they foremost talk about emotions, memories and feelings fragrances evoke in them. It's way fresher and out of the box. Then again they very often select frags that I've never heard about bringing lots of hidden gems up. Even if half of them are unwearable as they've got quite challenging tastes in fragrances I still learn a lot. Also they seem like legit top lads and I love their British banter. Truly /ourguys/.

They also clearly have very refined noses. Realistically I will never buy 99.9% of what they talk about but their passion is so strong that I’m happy to listen to them. What separates the good and the bad in fragrance channels is an appreciation of the artistry and that’s pretty rare. Even Jeremy seems to appreciate fragrances as an art form, but he never talks about it because that’s not where the money is.

Interesting, look at 16:30 when Wafts faced blindly with synthetic Firmenich oud recreation go both HOOOOHHHH over it perhaps thinking it's natural. At some point Dan even briefly compares it to their ridiculously expensive ittars costing $100s for 1ml. It reminds me of all of these wine snobs that after years and putting thousands of dollars down their throat often pick the cheapest wine on blind tastes. If their noses are supposed to be more refined than ours, is there any point in caring about expensive ingredients if even they can't tell the difference? Nope. North American. I use high-end agencies, though. Many of the ladies I see just wear Sephora-tier stuff, but every now and then I get one who knows her shit. This lady was from Prague, as I mentioned. A bit older, probably mid 30s, but still super hot. Great figure, big, fake tits (but really nice, soft ones), and really gorgeous bright blue eyes. She was telling me that one of the things she noticed since moving here is that far fewer people wear fragrance and most of the time, it’s something like Sauvage, ADG, or 1 Million (she made a gagging noise at this point). She said I reminded her more of European men because I take care of myself and use nice soaps/shampoo and wear/know a lot about nice fragrances.

I had 5 hours with her, so obviously we’re not gonna fugg the whole time, so it was fun going through my collection together, talking about niche houses we liked, introducing her to a few new ones (I showed her my Zootopian collection. She loved Bee). Very enjoyable evening.

I don’t spray less, but I spray more discreetly. For example, ADG Profumo I do two on the neck and one on my wrist. If I wear Oud Wood or Tobacco Vanille to work I do two on the chest because it will still have a strong smell, but a layer or two of clothing dampens it a bit.

Another thing I forgot is that they can be quite cloying, the sort of thing that really sticks in your nose and for some people can cause headaches. You know that feeling when you really wrap up warm, you put on a thick jumper, you wrap yourself in a blanket and get really warm? Imagine the heaviness of those layers and the warmth, but as a smell.

Just assumed if you're seeing Eastern Euros it's probably here, given every other one seems to be from that part of the world these days. But then if they're high end ones I guess they travel everywhere there's decent clients. I only see EEs, but not booking whole evenings over a 1-2 hour fug is probably where I'm doing it wrong.

God knows what it's like over there given we're pretty much the same. My industry is probably about 55%-60% continental (but mainly Eastern or Italian) Europeans and the gulf between standards among them and us is huge. Not just among ladies but men too, most of them dress and groom themselves just as well at the ladies and if anything it's actually the us that are poorly groomed and have shit taste compared to them. Can talk frags with them too which is an added bonus, couple of them have copied mine and vice-versa. Whereas have the same convo with another bong and it's either 'that smells like Lynx (Axe)' or 'isn't that bit gay?'. Kinda makes me lose hope for this country seeing the state of our 'women' and men too desu.

The copying bit was from co-workers not hookers. But I'm still yet to find a hooker wearing something I wanted too. Some of them take it too far though desu, like this one Romanian guy I worked with last year would wear Hugo Boss blazers and Profumum Roma frags all the time, despite being on an slightly below-average salary, even if our industry does have some unique perks like high tips.

Yeah, as regulars know, I’m in Amsterdam a lot and I find the women over there (mostly EE, but there’s also an all-Dutch agency I use) tend to be much more knowledgeable overall. There’s a Romanian girl in De Wallen I’ve been seeing for years who’s a cute little spinner who wears Tuscan Leather as her signature scent. You wouldn’t think it would work on someone like her, but somehow it does.

Most of the ladies I see here are Canadian or American. The girl I was actually supposed to see last night was Brazilian-Canadian, but since she seemingly vanished into thin air (and has since been removed from the agency’s roster), this Czech lady was her last minute replacement. Actually pretty glad it worked out this way. Honestly one of the best bookings I’ve ever had.

I generally do longer bookings because I like to be able to chat a bit, have a drink or two (I’m an expert mixologist, so I always make us a fancy cocktail. Yesterday was a raspberry Moscow Mule made with fresh homemade raspberry syrup), get to know each other a bit. I find it makes the sex way better because you’re able to establish a bit of a connection, so it seems far less impersonal. Makes for a better GFE thing, y’know? It’s also nice because we have plenty of time. We can go 3 or 4 rounds, take a nice little break between rounds, it just makes for a nice evening. Of course, long bookings are quite expensive, so I tend to only do 2-3 a month or so, but I always prefer to go quality over quantity in all things anyway.

I've always thought the same about Amber Absolute, one of my favourite frags ever and it'd absolutely blow my mind if I ever smelt it on an attractive woman.

I'm not sure really how they compare with Canadian/American ones but I never touch British ones. They always seem to massively overvalue themselves for what they offer (generally inferior looks and only easier communication, which isn't even an issue with the better EE ones) and give off an impression you'd have to see (and spend) a lot going through shit ones to ever find a decent regular one. There seems to be a lot of Latin Americans, especially from Brazil and Colombia showing up on the scene lately though. I'm getting increasingly tempted to try one and break from my usual Polish or Bulgarian ones and try one, any good past experiences with them other than the disappearing one?

Always seems like you guys on the bars, especially the mixologists/cocktail bartenders are the most notorious for this kind of thing too - and the best to ask. In my current workplace they're by far the biggest players which is something in an industry (I work in casinos) with an infamous reputation for everyone fucking each other and meeting future partners/spouses working alongside them; especially on the cruise ships.

I actually don’t work as a bartender (or really at all, for that matter). I’m one of the owner’s of my family’s company and I have investments and own property, so I don’t need to work. It’s just a hobby. I went to culinary school as well. I’m very, very good at it, though. I could easily work at a high-end cocktail bar if I wanted to.

I don’t think I’ve ever been with a British girl. If the Brits I see wandering around Amsterdam are anything to go by, though, I don’t feel like I’m missing much. As far as South American ladies, I’ve only seen a few. One was Chilean and was very sweet and pretty, had a great curvy figure, and was probably the best at sucking balls I’d ever seen. Normally not a huge thing for me, I enjoy it, but it’s not something I care a ton about. This girl... I have no idea what she was doing, but it felt like heaven. The other girl I saw was Cuban/Columbian, tall and slim with an incredible ass, and was one of the most gorgeous women I’ve ever been with. Very fashionable, she showed up in a short dress and tall boots over a Honey Birdette set. Also a very nice girl, and she was amazing on top in reverse cowgirl watching that ass bounce. So overall, I’m a fan of the Latinas thus far.

That and if you can, why not pay for a top service over spending as much and a lot more time chasing boring girls that are shit in bed.

That's getting my attention most. So many of them like look similar but a lot curvier and more fun than Romanians. Hopefully less hit-and-miss too, don't get me wrong you can find some fantastic Romanian girls but they always seem to be the ones where they're either great or awful and probably at a 50/50 ratio, noticeably worse ratio than most other EE ones I've seen.

Ok fuckers, let's update this chart. It's fairly good but it needs some refreshment as some of the stuff here is mislabeled, discontinued, showing too much of personal biases of the author or even obscure. The structure is great and descriptions are good too, let's just update content to make it more relevant and helpful. We can maybe add a new 'uncoventional' category. I'd suggest following assumptions
>we keep the structure of 4 frags in each subgroup
>for each subgroup we decide upon 1 relatively cheap and accessible fragrance - <$1/ml if possible, so the chart is helpful for everyone
>2 mid-priced fragrances between $1 and $2.5 per ml, so we can have interesting and varied choices
>1 more expensive >$2.5 per ml (if needed), so we can have snice niche things
>we pick only well-rated things as recommendations and try to give the priority to frags that are widely discussed in the community and of well deserved status
>while we obviously try to make choices as eponymous of the subgroup as possible, there's no point of having fragrances smelling virtually the same or clones - like Aventus and CDNI
>we try to keep houses on the chart varied to reflect many possible choices in modern niche perfumery

Fresh category is more or less done already. Let's do florals now.

What are your suggestions for:
>Soliflore
In reality, almost no fragrances are made up of just one note – but often, a creation is cleverly constructed to put a flower in the spotlight, with everything else tiptoeing around in the chorus line. (In reality, ‘single note’ fragrances can contain up to 200 different ingredients, even if they give the overwhelming impression of just one bloom…)
>Floral Bouquet
Combining many different flowers in a scent – like a ravishing, extravagant bouquet of flowers (rather than a dainty posy), giving a beautiful and overwhelmingly feminine impression, without any one particular flower being allowed to dominate.

>> No.15033550

>>15033464
Also, I agree on the Romanian/Bulgarian girls. About 50% are nice girls and 50% are just there for the money and will rip you off and give shit service. My sample size with Latinas is too small to say what their overall service level is like, but so far, so good.

>Floral Aldehydic
Almost everyone knows Chanel No. 5, and the champagne-like ‘whoosh’ you get at first sniff: that fragrance was one of the earliest uses of these synthetic ingredients, which took perfumery into a whole new dazzling era. Aldehydes turbo-charge a fragrance, sometimes giving an almost fizzy first impression. They’re not exclusive to floral fragrances (aldehydes can be added to almost any fragrance, including chypres and orientals), but they’re most often used to add dazzling brightness to florals. Later, after a floral aldehydic fragrance ‘settles down’, the impression can often be powdery.
>Fruity Floral
A ‘contemporary’ spin on the floral family, fruity florals have become incredibly popular in the past 10 years: sunny in nature, with a young, spirited joie de vivre. The juicy fruits – like peach, raspberry, mango, pear and apple – add luscious sweetness to cut flowers.
>Green Floral
‘Green’ notes – the leaves of a plant (like violet leaf), herbs, fresh-cut grass, mosses – and in particular a note called galbanum, a fragrant gum resin – can almost ‘cool’ a floral fragrance, adding freshness but also sometimes an intriguing depth. The ‘greens’ are fresher and sharper than most traditional florals: sometimes, they may be cleverly structured by perfumers to have a sporty and outdoorsy
>Floral Musk
Beneath the flowers, the sensuality: underpinning elements like rose, jasmine, ylang ylang and lily you’ll find soft, sweet notes including musk. Musk itself comes in two types, though: there are the ‘white musks’ – clean notes, almost laundry-esque – and the sexy, come-hither musks. If it’s the latter you’re after, look for other sensual notes including animalic elements (civet, ambergris).

There are also these two subcategories of florals on perfumesociety.org that are not present on the chart. Personally, I'd rather replace Green Floral with Floral White. The latter category is way more discussed here and Green Florals seems to me like a smaller subniche than White too. How do you feel about Floral Fresh? I feel like almost everyone in this thread is a guy, so perhaps it'd be better to replace some feminine subcategory (like Fruity Floral) with it? For example Bright Neroli a perfect masculine example of a Floral Fresh that is discussed here very often. Thoughts?

>Floral White
White flowers are some of the romantic in perfumery: lilies, jasmine, ylang ylang, lily of the valley. When these dominate, the fragrance is known as a ‘white floral’. Perfect for weddings (as are ‘floral bouquet’ and ‘single note floral’ fragrances): feminine, pretty, often quite sophisticated and elegant. If that’s you, you’ll enjoy exploring this family.
>Floral Fresh
So: you want something light and airy – but perhaps with a little more staying power than a traditional eau de Cologne. Florals are often combined with citrus notes to make lighter, fresher florals – sometimes they’re called ‘citrus florals’, but we think of them as floral-fresh, because the flowers hang around for longer on the skin. Perfect ‘summertime’ fragrances, these – but also suited to an environment where you don’t want to overpower with your scent, such as work/interviews.

I don't get why some countries can't just liberalise their laws around prostitution. Especially the US; if they wanted to stop incels going off the rails and shooting up schools or bars then you could cure it overnight with decent supply of properly regulated and licensed sex workers. I don't watch porn or fap nor need to do either when I can see an escort every couple of weeks and I think that's done a lot of good for both my mental and sexual heath and could do for a whole generation of young men having their minds fucked up by porn and/or sexual frustration.

I think I'm slowly starting to miss having a serious partner, but then when you have a life-consuming job that never has you working normal or sociable days and hours it's a non-starter, especially given how fucked up the dating scene seems to have become in the five years since then. While it's tempting to do what a lot in my job do and get involved in with other co-workers, it's also a powderkeg of drama when it goes wrong in such a close-knit industry. While I've had a couple of one-night stands with some co-workers a FWB thing I had going two years back with an ex-colleague has put me off getting involved with anyone I work with again though. Although nothing bad happened it was just too fucked up in terms of relationships with different people to want to continue it or something similar again.

Tinder killed online dating. It’s basically binary now. You’re either a shredded Chad with ab pics and you get tons of hits, or you’re everyone else and you get pretty much nothing. Doesn’t even matter if you’re rich, you can’t really get any of those sort of less tangible aspects into pictures (aside from posing with a Lamborghini or something, but everyone will assume it’s not yours and/or you’ll just attract shit people). Everyone uses it, too. Barely anyone’s on other sites now, and all those other formerly free sites were bought out and neutered unless you pay. Our dating culture here is just broken. Sounds similar over there.

In Amsterdam, about 70% of the girls in the windows are Romanian and Bulgarian. They have a reputations (well deserved in my experience) for being rip offs. I’d agree that the Romanians are worse, but I’ve definitely had quite a few Bulgarian girls trying shady shit. Some of my favorite ladies ever are Bulgarian, though. I had a girl named Simona I used to see a lot (she retired recently). Total pornstar look, bleached blond hair, big fake tits, lip filler, lots of tattoos, and deepthroats and takes it in the ass. Very sweet girl, though. She wore some decent frags too. She had one of the Montale vanilla frags, Kilian Moonlight in Heaven, and she mentioned she liked the brand, Sospiro as well. I’ll definitely miss her, she was great fun.

>> No.15033848

>>15033763

I try to live in hope sometimes an eventual backlash to it will be round the corner as it makes dating more exclusive and more limited to fewer and fewer people, but then there's too much money being made from it to ever believe in that.

I had the same thing happen, my favourite one retired late year after seeing her regularly for nearly two years. Not the best looking or even the best in bed I've ever had, but probably the youngest and most enjoyable to spend time with. Also the most fucked up experience I've ever had with anyone though the last time I saw her. While we were talking after the first round she randomly broke down in tears about how she wanted to everything up and go back to Poland because it's ruined her mental health and ability to form relationships with men without seeing them as clients. Gave me my money back but kinda felt bad for taking it.

Does make me worry though if that's what can happen to a professional sex worker, just what the fuck is going to happen to this generation that's grown up with normalised hook-up culture. As fun as it is laughing at roasties sometimes, that gives me a bit of a chill down my spine.

Yeah, I’m in my late 30s so I never really got into the whole social media thing. I can say, though, that things didn’t used to be this way. I didn’t used to go on dates and have the girl with her phone out the whole time. People were always narcissistic, but social media really gave people the opportunity to embrace it. I really think it’s been one of the most destructive forces in recent history. So many people just live on social media, it’s their whole lives, and it doesn’t make people happy. It just makes people feel like shit because they’re always seeing these carefully curated stories of people’s lives and feeling like everyone has it better than them. They feel like everyone’s out partying, and travelling, and fucking, and eating delicious food, and the funny thing is, those people are fucking miserable. Yeah, they’re doing those things, but they’re not enjoying them because they’re more concerned with taking pictures for social media than they are actually enjoying the moment. I’m not sure if there is a fix to this at this point. It’s too pervasive, too entwined in people’s lives. I think they’d be fine if it was taken away, even happier, but they won’t do it. It’s their comfort blanket.

As for sex workers, I think it really depends. I’ve met some ladies who were obviously not the healthiest people, but I’ve also met some really intelligent women who know what they want out of life, have their shit together, and do things on their terms. I think the wrong girls will get eaten up and spit out by the business, but ladies who have their heads screwed on straight and understand what they’re getting into can do very well.

It’s even stranger, because under the Canadian criminal code, someone who aids and abets in the commission of a crime is considered equally guilty to the person who actually commits the crime. How can I buy sex without being aided by someone who’s selling it to me?

On the plus side, the laws are basically never enforced unless u de rage or trafficked girls enforced, and we actually just had a successful constitutional challenge of parts of our prostitution laws in Ontario which potentially opens the door for getting prostitution decriminalized entirely, so things are looking up for us mongerers.

The new thing is radical feminists muddying the waters by disingenuously conflating all sex work with human trafficking. It’s insidious because if you disagree with them, it appears like you support trafficking, which is obviously a fallacy. One of the primary things that allows traffickers to thrive is the fact that the sex trade is all underground. These people actually think they’ll be able to eliminate the demand for prostitution by punishing johns, and it’s never going to happen. They’re making things worse for the women they’re supposedly trying to help because they care more about punishing men than they do supporting other women’s choices.

I'm in my late 20s so in a way I've seen both life before and after several generations of social media and see over the course what's gone so wrong. It's the point where it stopped complimenting offline life and just become life for so many and especially from Instagram/Snapchat/Tinder onwards. I completely quit and deleted everything I had four years ago but came back to Facebook just lightly using it to keep up with stuff at work and ex-colleagues that have moved around and gone other places but elsewhere I'm not touching social media again.

I think that's the worst thing about it, that people can see for themselves even when they didn't know life before it that it just isn't healthy or the best way to form or maintain any kind of relationships. But then it's become a like fast food in that they know it's unhealthy but still keep consuming it.

Not sure what your experience is like as I have no experience of the high end side of the business but I have noticed the older ones seem to be the better ones that survive, own what they do and do it on their terms. It does seem like a trade-off that happens a lot in that while you sacrifice looks and youth, you get consistently better service from them. At times it does seem like an upside-down business in that the younger ones tend to be the less healthy compared to older, experienced counterparts.

Actually, Canada’s current prostitution laws were written by the Stephen Harper (who is an evangelical) Conservative government. Before then, there were now laws in the Canadian criminal code regarding the purchase or sale of sex. Trudeau has occasionally supported decriminalization, and the even further-left Jagmeet Singh of the NDP, who are currently in a coalition with the Liberals is strongly in favour of decriminalization.

So yeah, not lefties or feminists who fucked this one up. They’re just making it harder to fix things.

I’m the same way. I’ve never had a twitter or instagram. I have Facebook, but I only have like 30 people on it and rarely use it. Mostly just use FB messenger to chat with friends in other countries or when I’m travelling.

I find the butter zone for me is mid 30s. Women that age are hitting their sexual peak, they’re confident and know what they want, but aren’t old enough that their looks are gone. Looking back on it, I think almost all of my best bookings were with ladies in that age range. It’s definitely still fun fucking young, tight stunners, but I usually don’t expect too much out of those bookings. I just lie back and enjoy the view. Still a good time, but I know they’re probably not gonna really fuck my brains out like some of these slightly older ladies will. Usually at that age, they tend to have their shit more together.

Exactly my thoughts. I remember somebody here saying their experience was the other way around, it starts sweet but becomes smokier.

If that smokiness stayed with it I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

In other matters: How’s Beau De Jour? Much more appealing now it’s in the Signature Line.

>> No.15035254

>>15035229

Private Blend is still the better version desu, the Signature one while almost identical in scent is just a bit lighter and more like a cologne version. Doesn't have the crazy longevity of the PB one though although it isn't as loud in the opening, so a bit of a trade off really.

Got back from interview. Went with one spray of Paco PH under my shirt/peacoat.

I just snapped an almost full 10ml decant of Aomassai 10 Pierre Guillaume for £10 and I'm very happy about it as couple days ago I almost pulled a trigger on a 50ml bottle on eBay. I didn't do it only because realized in the last seconds of the auction that despite it being my favourite gourmand and absolutely gorgeous fragrance I wouldn't use it more than 10-15 times a year and I possibly just would get bored with it after 5 years. This hobby can be really affordable if one has his consoomerist habits of owing new things under control. Thanks /frag/ for constantly telling everyone to sample first.

>> No.15035322

If I hadn't had brought the PB first when it came out I'd maybe think twice about buying it over the SL one but then I don't mind paying much more for the better performance. I had a similar approach to Roja Engima, I prefer the parfum version and would have got it but ended up getting the parfum cologne instead because the former can be too overpowering in the first hour or so and I don't want to choke people out in the early stages just for the superior longevity.

For a masculine rose I'd suggest Duchoaufour's Paestum Rose Eau D'Italie. It's an incesy rose but the spotlight is clearly on rose. Very masculine and different than your typical Rose+Oud (that belong more to oriental category). Also I'd suggest putting Carnal Flower into soliflore category. It's mostly turberose and there are plenty other white flowers fragrances appropriate for men.
