I bought all of that when close contact, surface transmission etc was the main fear for transmission.
Had I known it could be aerosolized, I'd have gone for a full face mask and ordered coveralls.
I'm currently debating buying coveralls now, or whether I should just avoid public transport for the next couple months.

you want a filtered respirator.
>latex gloves
good call. if you're not allergic to latex, go for latex over nitrile, which I've seen people shilling - latex has a marginal advantage as a barrier to viruses.
>bowie knife taped to a pipe
I don't have a loicense for that, m8

No shit. Guess what? Can't get them now. And those filters are only good for half an hour, anyway. So unless you've got hundreds of boxes of filters to get you through the next few months, you're going to have to make due without a respirator.

40mm NATO filters are good for weeks.

I don't know where you got either of these from.
Maybe you're thinking of N95 masks in which case yeah they're harder to get now, and have a shorter lifespan.
But I've literally just gone ordered more 40mm filters for my respirator, they're still on the market.
And they're good for as long as they're easy to breathe through. If you're in a high dust environment they're going to get clogged up quicker and hit saturation point and become compromised quicker, but generally most of us aren't unless it's part of our work environment.

>> No.15006129

>>15006056
those look like particulate filters which last until it's too hard to breath due to particulate clogging the system
pretty much forever unless you're breathing in a lot of dust.

bollocks.
also those silly little square ones are useless for protecting yourself, they're for protecting others from your own cough droplets.
get an N95 if you can.

how about long, kimono bag-sleeves
Can contain handkerchiefs, hand sanitizer, concealable weaponry.
Mobility is sacrificed due to the obligatory Tabi foot gear, but it's not like you need to run from zombies, really.
Flowers or accessories as a recognizable trait in crowded areas/shelters, and many possible camo patterns to choose from.

given the virus is believed to be aerosolized now, you might want to consider some form of goggle that's more airtight.
sunglasses are really only good for preventing habitual eye-rubbing, and as a splash guard against cough droplets.
