No. They wore those things when Ivy style was in its decline. Take Ivy is unironically shit tier inspo, because the pictures were taken during the transitional phase between Ivy and hippie t-shirt faggotry. The actual Ivy heyday was 50s-VERY EARLY 60s.

This is true. By the time the 70s rolled around, the style as it had been known in the 50s was completely gone. There's a good thread of 70s ivy style in the take ivy forum and it's a completely different style that shares almost nothing with what came before it.

You’ve probably never done any sports on more serious level than physical education in high school. I can tell you what’s the reality of wearing cotton clothes for high intensity trainings (I do boxing and rowing): they fucking stink. With every use more and more. At some point a couple months in you must just trash them as no matter how well you’re going to wash them, they’ll stink. Synthetic fabrics are truly a gift for anyone doing more serious sport than jogging around neighbourhood. And that’s really what 90% of this comes down to: whether there is brown in the fit or not. Brown is the casual colour, you can dress Brown up but it will never be Black. Nothing looks more striking and sophisticated than Black. You can dress Black down, but you can’t dress dress Brown up. I’ve signalled this point before here but you can wear black CASUALLY , you just WEAR it. Unlike brown which can only ever be worn casually

Sure, but the more that an "un-enforced" Dress Code, of "anything except Black", gets enforced, the more everyone will just trend towards wearing all Brown, or all Blue suits. All that is happening is the replacement of Black with another Dark Colour. When everyone wears the same Colour, it becomes FORM-al, the mass of people are given uni-FORM-ity. That's what FORM-ality means, we all dress the same dress code. Whether it's black or brown.

I think you are right on the trousers. I will have them adjusted this week. I don’t think the photo gives the blazer justice, however. I measured the space it has left around the wait and it has about 5cm to spare, which should be fine, almost on the looser side. I would recommend Heschung instead of Tricker's. Norwegian welt so even more waterproof than the Storm welt usually used by Tricker's, better soles (Heschung soles are incredible, like Ridgeway but even better), and the lasts are a bit longer than the usual English stubby lasts which I personally hate. The price bracket is pretty similar to Tricker's. I'd recommend the Thuya, Ebene, Genet and Gingko models.

Only insecure betas. I remember a funny night in which one pleb laughed about those pink pants when I was talking to a girl he was trying to flirt with, an hour later I was going out of the bar with that same girl towards my house :^) His face was hilarious, like pic related but without the beard (he had glasses)

It's sad that you have to learn on 4chin that clothing doesn't indicate someones sexuality. It is your behaviour what will determine if you are masculine or feminine.

None of that shit matters if the sum of the parts looks like shit. Any fucking retard can go on reddit and buy Boat shoes, pink chinos and a polo shirt and harrington jacket. This https://www.reddit.com/r/malefashionadvice/comments/5wnqxp/boat_shoes/

(You) >>14985704
don't get to have your little safe space here, you look like utter shit. I wouldn''t want to be seen with someone dressed like you in public, because you look like a caricataure, except a really badly drawn one. It's one thing, to accept your body's less-than-ideal proportions, and dress according to that, but that requires m2m fitting for it to work. You actually look like someone else picking out the clothes for you, who doesn't want you to look good, or all your clothes are gifts from Christmas. Anywhere else on this board if you posted this shit actually looking for critisicm you would get destroyed (but you won't because your ego is so fragile), you just think you are above that, because you are clearly totally obliviously ignorant. Did you shrink your feet in photoshop? It looks absolutely ridiculous, and it just shows how amateur your fitting ability and fashion sense is. You can't even buy shoes that fit properly, or your just have a midgets feet. Granted, you are exactly like 95% of the rest of the male population who is trying to dress fashionably.
