Shouldn’t the perfume’s name (in this case Myths) be written underneath the lid? David Crickmore (CEO Amouage) says that a hugely discounted Amouage bottle (40-50 % off) is most likely to be a fake.

Bull. Fucking. Shit. Dude just wants his cut. I have Amouage bottles from discount sites, I have ones from De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam. Same “waves” on the bottle, both have the magnetic cap that can’t be put on backwards. Both last as long as they should. This guy’s just a shill who wants you to buy from “official” retailers because they pay him, whereas the discount sites don’t. Simple as. You’re not getting fake Amouage bottles off fragrancebuy or fragrancenet. If you’re buying them ridiculously cheap off eBay, sure, but if you’re buying that shit, you deserve to be scammed, frankly.

Yes. Cool Water is much more summery and juvenile. Creed certainly does use more naturals than Davidoff (which are probably 0) and it shows. The lemon verbena note, which i hope is from an absolute, is much more sophisticated than the top note from Cool Water. This makes GIT be much more appropriate for the night time and spring/autmn, and maybe not so great for 40ºC+ heat, but Cool Water isn't either, in my opinion.
But overall GIT feels much more rich and luxurious than CW, but CW is livelier, projects more and is 1/10th of the price. I sitll sort of want a bottle of GIT, but the price is prohibitively expensive for what it is and other frags get priority over it.

sup /frag/,

I've worn on my wrists Allure Edition Blanche, the Eau Extreme and the Homme Sport.

I enjoyed the Édition Blanche but can't think of an ocassion to smell like cream lemon pie.

The Eau Extreme opening is very sharp but the sticky dry down is amazing. Tonka heavy. My favorite frag that I ever tried. However, it's expensive as fuck.

The Homme Sport however has a nice opening but it doesn't have the crazy Tonka drydown that I loved. Also, I could just buy Versace Puor Homme for less than half the price.

Trying to figure out my daily driver as a 25 yr old man.
What do you suggest?

>Isn't cologne too weak? I liked the AHSEE because it was strong as fuck.
Cologne means that is has a 95%+ proportion of solvents. Sometimes the 1-2% of fragrance is enough to outperform many Eau de Toilettes or Eau de Parfums. In the case of Dior Homme Cologne, it has an incredibly nice and sharp, something i would consider "strong", citrusy bergamot smell. Sadly, it only lasts for 5-6 hours, but it is completely worth it.

Baraonda is the best nasomatto. The hidden gem drowned out by pardon and black afgano hype. It’s sex. Boozy woody spicy rose musk. I mean does that sound like a fucking winner or what? And it’s even better than it sounds. Any anon looking for a boozy in their collection I cannot recommend it enough. I’ve smelled tons of “boozy” and nothing has beaten it. Enigma parfum was the closest, but chad baraonda is like kouros’ drinking buddy. I haven’t shilled nasomatto in a while and it’s so cathartic

Friendly advice: there's no point of getting Black Afgano after all the times it was diluted/reformulated. Even Gaultieri admitted this in one of his interviews. Get yourself a sample and if you like it a bottle of Cuirs Carner Barcelona, Fortis Les Liquides Imaginares or Black Oud Laurent Mazzone. newfag here. all the men's scents i've tried in physical stores smell like cheap hookers and mexicans that wear gucci belts. what's a decent sample pack I can get somewhere with some less cheap-smelling scents?
pic unrelated, but simply to get your attention.

In a complicated place. Niche fragrances, the ones that won't make you smell like pajeet or pablo, usually need a bit of research for you to find something you like, which requires experience from designer shitfrags.
You could try going for higher end designer with shit such as Parfums de marly or Tom Ford, but they are quite expensive: or you can try going to more """"underground"""" scents like Encre Noire (which you can still find on physical stores), Montale fragrances, Dior Homme Cologne, Spicebomb and the likes.

It is a very feminine fragrance.

where could I get samples of some of the brands you listed? I'd prefer not to pay out the ass for higher end designer stuff, but I would imagine more of the ""underground"" stuff aren't commonly found in stores. Are there sampler packs online?

some niche houses that have great sample packs, off the top of my head:
Etat Libre D'Orange
Frederic Malle
Maison Francis Kurkdjian
L'artisan Parfumeur
Floraiku
Naomi Goodsir
Nicolai Perfumes
Memo
James Heeley

Go to their websites and look for sample packs, they go for between $15-$70. I got the first five sample packs, all good stuff, I'm sure you'll find something you like there. I'm also considering getting the other packs.

Best L'Artisan scents? I'm about to buy a bunch of samples off luckyscent and so far from L'Artisan I'm looking at Nuit de Tubereuse, L'Ete en Douce, Passage d'Enfer, and L'Eau de L'Artisan. I already have Tea for Two and Timbuktu. Any standouts from the house that I'm missing?

Passage d'Enfer is an incense-heavy scent, much darker and deeper than Avignon in my opinion. I wouldn't wear it too much outside, but it's great for staying at home. And their Histoire d'Orangeries or whatever is the best orange I've tried so far, lasts forever on my skin as well. People keep saying L'Atelier makes good citrus frags, but Histoire d'Orangeries beats all of the L'Atelier frags I've tried so far.

Voleur de Roses - rose, plum, and patchouli. Goth af.
Caligna - salty fresh fig and sandalwood.
Fou d'Absinthe - a classical fougere, very green, evocative of absinthe. Like original Polo with remixed herbs.
Dzing! - unusual scent pyramid makes for clever olfactory storytelling. Smells like the circus, as strange as that sounds.
