I know balding men and finer haired women have it worse off but it sucks so bad having hair so thin that you can see your scalp when you you do a pony tail. I've been told on multiple occasions that I have a bald spot when really its my whole head.

Women are supposed to have long beautiful hair but I got the butt end of the genetic pool. My mother is borderline balding and my grandmother too. Like a cursed bloodline for hair. Worse part is that I'm a pro at braiding but only the girls around me get to benefit from it.

And yes, I have washed my hair today, this is its prime clean state.

Feels fake and expensive, I'd really rather not have to go to such extremes when the girls around me wake up and look majestic. When I'm old and bald I will get a really nice one so i can be one of those elegant old birds with the long silver hair

I'm confident you will at least like the change involved with shaving it off. I've heard dying your hair the same color it already is makes it look thicker and more robust. If all else fails maybe get some cool hats. I have cheated every summer with cute hats to hide my gross thin scalp.
