I got a virtually new pair with box/extra laces off of grailed for $460. Save for dunks tho OP, they’re just generally better and you can usually find a pair for around $1000-1200

They work with tons of fits. Leaving your pant leg over the shoe makes these really versatile.
And even tucking your pants in can look good with zero other rick pieces if you can match the aesthetic with other clothes.

Well you could argue Rick has plenty of footwear that goes mainly with other rick. Take the sock sneakers from adidas for example, I wouldn't rock those with anything other than Rick.

I doubt a high fashion brand like Rick is babbys first to anything. No one goes from shopping at uniqlo to buying drop crotch poopy pants for $500 without something inbetween those stages.
I admit, Rick is an easy way to get into a drastically different look than your average joe, since there's a lot of pieces that can be styled with other brands, but I don't think Rick is just that. There's lots of obscure pieces that make normies question your life choices. You could dress in full Rick and look really basic, then again you could dress in rick and walk around like an art piece.
