So, that's complicated. Let's start at the beginning. Like year, two or so ago there was a Stacy who posted a photo of a sticky note that she presumably got from someone on a plane (more likely found the photo on internet) humblebragging about compliments her fragrance always gets her. I don't have the original photo, but that's the middle panel of the meme on the left. Some based autist started pulling her leg saying that the note doesn't say 'smell/smile' but 'snice'. She got angry and in result the whole thread was flooded by her rageposting and fellow autists pulling her leg even further. That was the origin of the 'snice' meme. However, CSI:/frag/ made their research and found that this photo was posted a couple days before on the instagram of this lingerie model called Alex. It was quite unbelievable that it could be her, but at some point some other anon claiming to be Alex said that she (more likely he) can prove her identity by posting on instagram. Couple minutes later a post about some Tom Ford's fragrance was posted on @aleolak instagram. It was probably sheer luck, but we want to believe that she was really coming here to shitpost with us about fragrances. That way she became the /frag/ queen. Moving forward months later. We used to have this anon around these threads, that was coined as Kourosposter, who was posting his delirious prophecies and exalted stories about Kouros fragrance visitation. It was top literature, and we were all always waiting eagerly for his next post. However, some dumb and bluepilled newfags made him abandon us by their shitposting. We brainstormed for a bit how to bring him back to post with us and realized the only way is to use the ancient Greek mythology methods that the Kouros comes from. We asked /lit/ for their help, and they recommended us to 'start with the Greeks'.

After doing some reading we decided that just like in Greek literature one of the regular /frag/ posters must go on a quest of putting his phallus into Alex to break the curse and summon the Kourosposter back. However, we soon realized that no one here really has any SEX, so the choice fell to the guy who pays thousands yearly on escorts - the hookeranon. Unlike all of us he is at least prepared for this quest to some extent. Since then his destiny is to meet Alex and fuck her to bring the based Kourosposter back. He obviously tries to do this in the only way he knows how to meet women e.g. by paying them to meet him. Now he's coming back to Europe and the stakes have never been that high before.

kouros sat silently and then suddenly spoke: "douse". i followed orders and sprayed my neck twice. a sonoran desert toad croaked on the windowsill. "how'd you get here, bud?", i said. "eat it.", said kouros. i followed orders. i fell to my back, the ceiling tore asunder and slategray specks began to rain into my room. "they seek a new beginning.", said kouros. "they are seedstars, coming to unpack themselves. do not be afraid. come, and douse". i sprayed my wrists. "what do they want?", i ask. "they are post-larval. they've been here before, their mission is unknown." "they've been here you know?", kouros emphasized. "they've lived in rustic houses, around the rolling green hills and under the amber sun, sitting just above the horizon. these ancestors have vast tracks of land and have lived a life much like your own but sweeter and without pain. can you feel it?" i woke suddenly in my room drenched in sweat. "a bad dream is all.", i said to myself. i looked over and kouros was sitting silently on my dresser. i got up, opened the window and grabbed kouros about to lob it out. mid-heave i heard a hum and the bottle vibrated softly in my hand. that hum again, coming from the atomizer. i pressed it against my ear. "civilize the mind.", said kouros. "and make savage the body." before my eyes the bottle spun into a warm flare and vanished into a thin thread of white smoke.

It's such an interesting phenomenon. As im sitting here post-deadlifts in a Kouros miasma while the glycine kicks in it's getting easier for me to expain.

You see, the scent of Kouros is repulsive to certain groups of people. To them, smelling it is like staring into the sun, and it does have this purifying burning quality to it. Of course I'm talking about liberal urban basedmaxxed bugmans, the type who demand their political gatherings to have safe rooms where you're not allowed "aggressive scents," as well as just generally eroscoomers who worship the yeastmammy like erosposter. Kouros repels degeneracy every single time which is why there is so much hatred for it.

She for sure knows that he's more knowledgeable so she tries to find a character for herself and soothe the anxiety. Also I think that in the grand scheme of things she's just annoyed by her husband picking up such a effeminate hobby like being a fragrance blogger. She tells somewhere in the video that her father used to wear 20 sprays of Polo Green so he's probably quite opposite of what she considers a manly man. Also it's sad seeing him in older videos when he was moderately attractive and seeing how fat he's gotten recently. He's got a total potato body. Anyway I do wish him well on his new fragrance line.

That's an oxymoron. Hot spring and summer is reserved for whatever freshie swill you can get on fragrancenet for peanuts. F/W is the /comfy/ time. What do you think about pure tonka? I got a decant of it after Jerememe shilled it as the "best coffee fragrance." As someone who has ground all types of coffee beans hipster and trash, I can't smell it through the Aunt Jemima syrup. I guess if you consider McDonalds frappe a coffee note then it's in there. I can dig it but it's not versatile and makes you smell like you spilled your pancakes on yourself like a 7 year old.

No response from Alex, gonna hit her up again a day or two before the dinner night I was thinking of.

Also I popped in to Bloom in London and tried some cool stuff. Secretions Magnifique is not bad desu. It’s just a metallic cold frag with some aldehydes going. I would say that it’s on the more pleasure side of things than some other frags I tried there. The absolute extreme was Sombre. This is what I expected Sectetions to smell like. They keep it there’s under a jar and constantly monitor so no one sprays it inside. It’s quite literally as bad as people say. Smells I literally like corpse that someone chundered yesterday’s dinner all over. I also tested some good stuff and took some samples home. £2 per any 1ml sample is a really good deal, too.

Out of desinger-niche stuff I really liked Lutens' Santal Majuscule and L'Air du Desert Marocain (surprisingly I haven't tried neither of these two frags before). Cardinal by Heeley is a lovely, fresher and completely wearable variation on church's myrrh akin to CdG Avignon. I was charmed with ELDO's Remarkable People. Might cop a bottle for summer. The champagne-citrus accord there is not as cliche as I thought. The biggest bummer for me were two houses hyped by Wafts: Parfum d'Empire and Papillon. Paplillon's Salome is just a heavy fecal castoreum/hyrax that is only a bit less disgusting than Zoologist's Hyrax. However, I smelled also a lovely castoreum scent by Anna Zworykin called Cuir de Russie. It's dark, animalic, oudy and masculine but definitely not repugnant. Good stuff but very expensive as she apparently makes only small batches out of natural ingredients. I also bought samples of Naomi Goodsir's Or du Serail, Nuit de Bakélite. I've only tried her Bois d'Ascese before but these two are no worse than Bois and she definitely deserves to be discussed more in these threads. The last two samples that I took home are Arquieste's Aleksandr and Prissana's Ma Nishtana. In Aleksandr they somehow managed to create a fresh scent appropriate for winter. It's cold austere violet-centered. Good stuff. Ma Nishtana Prissana is all about smoke and I'm a bit worried of smelling like a camp-fire but will see.
People in Bloom gave me also some natural ingredients they've got to smell: sandalwood, oakmoss, angelica, immortele, syberian deer musk, and finally hyraceum and castoreum

>>14806796
It's Sombre by Strangers Parfumerie. Watch the recent Wafts' video with Prim Lomros. Speaking of whom, I had a chat about ourguys Joe and Daniel and apparently they come to Bloom and Les Senteurs very often, so I guess I will meet them at some point.

Funnily enough I talked to him about Secretions Magnifique and Sombre today. He also doesn't find Secretions Magnifique super challenging but maybe a bit unpleasant (smelling like a wet dog to quote him). On the other hand the Russian girl working there told me that Secretions is her favorite ELDO and she wears it very often. Apparently no one ever commented on it. I really think that people exaggerate how bad it is.

Anyone else tried this? I found it surprisingly disappointing. An excellent and interesting chocolatey oud opening but drying into mixed woody mediocrity that could be have been found elsewhere for a significantly lower price. Feels in a similar bracket of disappointing niche woods to The Vagabond Prince Bass Solo but much better in the opening.

A freshie like Versace PH? Sure, I don't really mind but when it comes to some niche, mainly the cost of buying a full bottle and how I interpret the scent matters a lot more.
Take Tom ford Noir. I just find it too powdery, despite loving the patchouli/iris combo. If I was in my late 30's and wore suits most places, sure.

I have both. London is very safe and amazing; smells like what Hogwarts would smell like during Christmas, and it's inexpensive. I don't shill it here because I don't want it to become the Christmas Sauvage in popularity. I think Dreamer smells beautiful but it's not the safest frag in 2019. If you're willing to gamble $20 on something that you'll either love or hate go ahead, unless you can find it to sample at a store. Versace Man (not eau fraiche) is another F/W tobacco but much safer. Which I also don't shill because it's likely discontinued, but it's still cheap on eBay.
