I don't see the movement towards low waited tapered pants.
Literally makes you look like a fatass with a diaper, unless you are slim/asian.

Even if you are of a slim build, high wasted pants are superior.

Help me find brands that have high wasted pants

It looks good to me, and I also like your socks!
(but you might want to accessorize with a similarly patterned shirt or a textured shirt instead, otherwise you've got stripes clashing with the print, which is fine if you're going for that kind of look)

Problem with mid/high rise jeans is they're almost always a straight-leg cut for LARPing as a Greaser or something.

I'd love mid-rise + tapered because I have a long-ass torso that needs to be hidden.

Also I agree: low-rise always results in a diaper look.
