I've just discovered Les Senteurs from Belgravia, London. £3.50 per 1.5ml sample of every niche perfume in their catalogue (although there's a limit of 4 samples per order) is a bloody good deal. Often you can get a better price per ml with their samples that way than by buying a full bottle. Also their selection is really good. I'd suggest to add it to the sticky together with Jovoy and Bloom.

Counter-intuitive. Saw a random shitpost on here with it and had a look at the notes and general feedback on Fragantica, liked what I saw then sampled it. It's harsh, chemically and synthetic, on paper it should be something to hate on yet it's satisfying and addictive with decent performance. Also a bargain priced at £31 for 100ml.

Top drawer performance and longevity, probably the best currently on sale in its genre if you don't already own a bottle of YSL Rive Gauche. Smooth, almost creamy lavender with a light spiciness and added depth from moss and patchouli to stop it from being too linear. As good for spring and it's had a lot of wear since it was released. Prefer it to Invasion Barbare and sold the latter after I'd had Beau de Jour for a while and made it redundant. One of the best Private Blends to come out in ages.

I'm a graduate student TA so I'm around pre-nursing college girls every day, it's a good way to judge frags (I have to get close to help them do shit like work microscopes, etc). Overall girls like PdM frags like Herod, pegasus, Layton, etc (NOT godolphin although it's my favorite leather frag). Of the niche frags I have they also respond well to Aventus, MI, Bleecker Street, and Reflection. Some girls (like 25%) really love TV, the rest hate it. I've had good reactions to 1899 but that's just expensive Snicebomb so it doesn't count. Are you a bad enough dude to pull off fougeres? If you are then that is the absolute best way to go, I've gotten more enthusiastic reactions to these than any other type. Girls go crazy for barbershop frags because you smell like their dad, and for some reason that activates something in their lizard brain and they go nuts. The niche fougeres I have are 1725, Sartorial, and Viking (chicks love Viking), but any good/classic fougerre works like Azzaro PH or Rive Gauche. They even like Fahrenheit. Hope this helps.

It's a shame the Kyoto one is perennially sold out, I would like to compare it to the incense stick version. But with Zargorsk I definitely prefer it as room incense rather than wearing it as the spray version, given the type of frag it is making it literally smoky enhances that side of it more. My own experience is that my frags like L'HOMME INFINIMENT and Rive Gauche get me the most frequent positive feedback these days. I've had Sauvage, Invictus, Individuel just like every other pleb. A lot of the argument in this thread can be attributed to simple miscommunication and anecdotal experience. The conflict revolves around the fact that there are two types of girl: those that have a good relationship with their father, and those that don't.

Those that have a good relationship with their father will want someone who reminds them of him: mature, put-together, elegant. These are the girls that will enjoy fragrances like 1725, Azzaro PH, TDH, etc.

This is how I approach fragrances, as well as clothing and hairstyles. I just wear what I like. Tried out Mure et Musc, 20 minutes in and it's nice but unremarkable so far. Projection is not that strong. Passage d'Enfer on the other hand is really nice, I don't think I had tried incense-based frags before but I really like it. The author said it was inspired by some church, so now it makes me want to try out CdG Avignon even more. I'll keep you all posted.
