I also own Incident Dipamatique but am not getting the performance I want out of that, compared to what I got from a tester. I call it tactical spraying. Excuse yourself to the bathroom every 30-45 minutes to re-apply like you're trying to keep a coke high.

Honestly though: spray just before leaving the house, consider where you apply it, and possibly just accept that it's not very useful as a fragrance that is to be noticed by strangers.

When I use it, people tend to notice when I hug/greet them, or within the first hour (maybe less) of spraying.

Try 18.21 Sweet Tobacco Spirits when you get a chance. It’s in the same genre as Jazz Club (Tobacco, boozy accord, vanilla) and it has BEAST MODE performance. I put three sprays on in the morning and I’m good to go pretty much all day. Easily the best performing fragrance in my collection, and honestly it’s not even all that close. Only drawback is it’s very strong and sweet so it’s basically a dedicated fall/winter fragrance.

What sort of fragance should i use, in this case? Do note that monsoon season is pretty much summer, but with the ocasional heavy downpour; nothing like asian monsoon that consists of weeks of rain.
People tend to use fragances usually associated with fall and winter year-round. Summery one are paradoxically rare, but not hated. Right now, i am thinking of buying Acqua de Gio Profumo in order to stand out, but not to be an absolute rebel wih orange juice fragances.

Just tested Pegwell Bay and Indonesian Oud.
Zegna Is really not my rose+oud combo. It's one of these smooth powdery rose+ouds known from MFK. Quality is there, but it smells feminine to me. Gonna stay with Black Aoud. Performance is good.
Pegwell Bay is just as the notes on fragrantica say. Very prominent dry oranges broken by anise. Nice, fresh scent with some spice layer. Good for Spring/Autumn and colder Summer days. I reckon it can get cloying over hot weather. Wafts were not memeing about how good it is. I can recommend sampling it (Haeckels got quite a good deal on 7.5ml travel sprays).

In my experience, it’s all about how you come off. If you walk into a place dressed in jeans and a T-shirt and just start asking for samples, they probably won’t give them to you. If you’re dressed decently, appear knowledgeable, chat a bit, make them feel like you’re genuinely considering a purchase, your chances are much better. Also, bring your mum. Dunno why, but every time I’ve happened to be in a Saks or something with me mum, they always give me tons of samples.

Molecule 01 is 2 liquids (im guessing guy's using premixed dilutant which could consist of some UV filters etc.) poured into bottle, most likely in 20/80 ratio, topped with spray cap and put in a cardboard box.
Manufacturing cost per finished product I'd guess is about $5 - $10.
If all is prepped it would take him a 2mins to get it mixed right in front of you.
So, very easy if you know what you're doing.

I started with about $100 worth of smaller volume ingredients - 10ml & 30ml (essential oils, fragrance oils and aroma chemicals), pipettes, measuring cylinder, scale (to measure molecules which comes in crystalline form) and some bottles.
Personally I'm rather bulletproof with no allergies of any kind and didn't bothered, but some will go for ph strips as well.

What i do, and that's something you wouldn't buy or be allowed to sale publicly for safety reasons, is i come up with a composition based on percentage in 2.5% increments which will make up 50% mix of dilutant-to-perfume ratio in a 10ml bottle. That way if you fuck up, its not a large waste and you can just spray around the house or pour it in a toilet tank, make your piss smell delightful.

Lot of hype behind this one and was looking forward to trying it. However, the opening is so, so sickly sweet, like a teenage girls fragrance. Unwearable for me but will possibly give the rest to a female family member who still think's they're 20 or something. 3/10

>Grand Soir
Now this is more like it, ambery spicy and with a touch of leather almost to my nose, kinda reminded me of Jazz Club but more grown up and less boozy, great longevity too. Will consider a full bottle of this stuff, perfect Autumn/Winter scent. 8.5/10

I like this, warm, woody, well rounded, not too oud-y either if you know what I mean, the oud just smooths everything else out. Maybe not full bottle worthy but definitely wearable. 7/10

If you just want something smoky, try Breath of God from Lush. It’s weird as fuck, some people will love it, some will hate it, I wasn’t sure where I stood the first few wears, but it really grew on me. Kind of smells like burning electronics and melon. Eau Sauvage Parfum is a good incense + citrus frag, though IMO its good all year round. 2012 version is Myrrh + Bergamot, 2017 is Elemi Resin + Citron

You might like noir extreme more, it's spicier. This has the same base as noir de noir. Personally think noir pour femme does a better job, this is lacking in comparison, but it's still nice and good for layering.
