How did this become a trend? I've just started growing it because I have really nice blond hair, my wife likes it, I notice how hard girls mire when I comb it, and ancient warriors like Spartans kept their hair long. Besides, hair must be there for a reason (health peacocking). Why cuck yourself by keeping it short? Long hair is power and beauty.

Currently only long enough to do a side part. Next summer will be surfer length.

How do I tame this damn thing? I don't have time to shower when I wake up but almost anytime I sleep on it the flow is ruined and messy, especially if I wash it an hour or less before I go to bed. I shampoo and condition regularly and use a comb in the shower.

Stop washing it so regularly, you're drying it out too much. Your scalp naturally produces oils which helps stop your hair from tangling, so you don't want to be washing your hair everyday. Invest in some Argan oil (make absolutely sure there aren't any plastics in it) and massage it into the ends and tips in the morning (not your roots or it'll make your hair greasy).

In my experience this stage of growth is the most awkward, never looks right unless you can sculpt/layer it. If u are gay or bi and really desire the long hair, hold out for a few years and keep growing. Otherwise I think a brow length cut would be more flattering on u.

Nopoo might help, but some people fare better with the lesspoo method especially when they have longer hair. Try it out and see, if it doesn't work shampoo once or twice a week max. Only shampoo hair that is dirty, when its not dirty water and conditioner is all it needs.

What conditioner are you using? Consider buying a new one that's higher quality or making one(its lotion but for your hair, so if you know how to make lotion you know how to make hair conditioner). This makes a huge difference, also consider a deep conditioning session. Get yourself a shower cap and like 15 minutes of free time around the house. You can use unflavored yogurt mixed with honey and apple cidar vinegar for instance. All this is it making sure your hair get deeply penatrated by the nootrients and moisture in those things. If that sounds a little too bizzare you can buy one but make sure its for deep conditoning and absolutely avoid any conditioner with silicone in it. You can also make one. You basically make a lotion/conditoner but its more T H I C C. So your oil to water ratio will be 50/50 instead of 70/30(water to oils) recipe for normal conditoner.

The next issue to take a look at is PH imbalance. Most waters from the tap run on the higher scale of the ph. You want it lower. 5.5 is the ideal ph for hair, how do you achieve this? First hair conditioner almost always runs on the acidic side, another is a diluted apple cidar vinegar rinse at the end of your shower. When hair is on the acidic side the cuticles lay flatter, this makes hair smooth and shiny.

I hate the way it triangles out in the back & from the side (see D&E). I was thinking I should shave it into like an undercut to reduce the volume in the back. Generally how the fuck do I get even proportions of hair around the head?

Ok, I have a question. Every time I'm trying to tie my hair I have a lot of short hair not only on my temples, but also at my forehead,i.e. at the edge of my hairline. I don't know why it's so short there (I mean, really short), and I only started to notice it recently. I know that I can trim parts of my temples regularly (is this even a good idea though?), but what do I have to do with this forehead shit?

Letting it stay this way is not really an option, long hair is not much tolerated where I live, so if you look not good with long hair you're automatically considered a douche

Tips on growing out a disconnected undercut / pixie cut? My top hair is siginificant longer but not manbun long yet. Sides would need a trim.

I have fairly small hairs as far as diameter goes but a reasonable amount of it. I'm thinking of cutting it though because I always play with it and it's a pain to ride with the windows down.

I work a job in sales. Technically it's business casual, but almost everyone wears a full suit to look more professional. Which suits me, I'm not a fan of business casual. Anyways, Is there a way to keep medium or longer length hair and still be professional looking? My thoughts are that it can work if you keep it slicked and processed looking, never unkempt.

Remember to brush and condition it because right now it looks like you dont take care of it.
Also shave the pube stache until you can grow a proper stubble. If you can, get thinner frames or just wear contacts, they're less trouble anyways (in my experience)

Tugging your hair back into a tail or bun is tough on the scalp and hairline. Not only do you risk breaking the frontmost strands, but pulling your skin taught isn't great for your complexion.

I would just say don't get into a habit of wearing it up tight every day. Let it rest.
