If you're concerned about creating/worsening nutritional defiencies on a deficit, make an account on cronometer.com and plan out your meals in advance, I do this and usually hit 95% of my nutrition goals with the help of supplements

IIRC Vit D and more likely iron are less effective under certain circumstances, look up the best time to take each supplement

Vit D is a very common micronutrient to be deficient in, even in people who eat at maintenance/excess

Honestly you don't need carbs in your diet, especially if you don't do intensive exercise. I reduced my carb intake by cutting out sugary sweets, then all baked food, then starchy vegetables and finally fruits (which are often loaded with nature sugars). |This took me roughly 1.5 months to do and now I'm completely free of carb cravings

The easiest way to reduce carb intake is to up your intake of fruits and cut out baked foods, hardly anyone has cravings for baked foods that can't be saitated by a similar low carb meal, and consuming a lot of fruit prevents sugary food cravings, over time you can gradually reduce your fruit intake until you drop fruit all together. Vegetables contain many of the same vitamins fruits do but at a far lower carb and calorie count.

Protein is absolutely essiential in your diet, your skin/hair/nails will become awful, you'll feel very hungry and you'll lose a lot of muscle. Get a lot of protein.

Fats aren't as important but certain fatty acids found in nuts and especially oily fish are essiential for brain health, also certain fats can improve cardiovascular health, however fats are an excellent source of energy, but only after your body becomes "fat adapted", this adaption process happens after fasting/restricting carbs for a long time, hence why I recommend slowly lowering carbs.

Carbs don't really offer much in comparison, except for athletes

Short term fasting is muscle perserving, look at studies of people who lost weight via alternate day fasting vs standard daily restriction, the people who do alternate day fasting usually retain more muscle mass and end up with a lower bodyfat% by the end of the study despite doing no exercise

Finally maybe you just need to wait for some bowel movements. Antidepressants made me fucking balloon and I need to lose weight or else I’ll legit kms.
Wanted to straight up water and tea fast for as long as possible, but I have a history of anorexia and don’t want my husband to pick up on my relapse. Thinking I’m just gonna do a restrictive keto kinda thing and keep it under 800 calories and max 10g of carbs daily.
In the past when I would restrict I did 0-300 cals a day, so if I eat nothing all day while he’s at work and then a single *very* low carb meal when he gets home, it will look like I’m eating a lot.
Anyone have suggestions?

I was actually diagnosed and hospitalized for anorexia in 2015. Did years at various levels of treatment including 2 months in ERC’s residential and had a long stretch in recovery (2016 to present) maintaining an 18-19 BMI. My BMI at the lowest was under 14. You clearly don’t know much about eating disorders if you think 3 months of 0-300 cals is unrealistic lol. And I’m not a size 10 thank god... I’m not even close to overweight yet but I can’t stand it anyway since I’ve only ever been thin. This is the heaviest I’ve ever been in my life, and I haven’t changed my diet or lifestyle enough for it to really make sense. So the meds are the only explanation I can think of. I changed antidepressants and started taking gabapentin for my migraines. Both are known to cause weight gain. Maybe they aren’t the cause. Idk. But I want to be skinny again.

Pic related is from 2015 when I was underweight. Not my thinnest but I don’t have pics of that because I was in the hospital. I can share more if you still have doubts.
