How should I dress if Im a manlet?

>> No.14660696

however you like. just don't overcompensate. nothing wrong with being short unless you convince yourself that it's a problem.

You can pretty much wear what you want as long as you don't accentuate how much of a manlet you are.
>Some people are a manlet because of genetics.
> Others are manlets because of external factors such as malnutrition or a lack of sleep.
Genetic manlets usually have a well rounded frame and correct proportions meaning that they can dress anything way they want whilst disproportionate manlets have scrawny limbs that make them look pathetic.

5'6" and >>14660726 is right. Whole family has been short from the beginning and while i have the obvious difficulties with clothes, my proportions are solid and it just means you have to work with good proportions so no rick or anything. Easy styles are minimalism (scandinavian styles are particularly easy), punk/grunge, prep/trad, and comfycore. Techwear is decent for short people as it contains all of those styles, but it just makes them overengineered and expensive. Erolssen Hugh is like 5'9" though so his style is doable as long as you arent super short

>> No.14661122

in my experience, try to avoid clothes that don't fit you well enough,go at least just a size bigger, i use S and M. I always try pants that are slim fit or regular, i tuck all my shirts and it has gotten kind of compulsory, but it helps in giving you better proportions, specially if the lenght of you have a gripe with the lenght of your legs.
Other than that, do whatever you want just be conscious on how things fit you and your proportions.

I'm the same. It's honestly not that difficult. Just don't wear big pants, shoes, or shirts. I have an undercover chester coat that goes to just above the knees size small that fits perfectly and it looks great so I don't think that the size of a coat matters too much as long as it doesn't make your proportions seem weird.

This anon right here is right. There are some people that are always mocking shorter people and they will do that regardless of everything, even status or money.
But if you overcompensate for shortness, you are literally screaming that to everyone, even people who doesn't really care.
Don't do raised hair styles, shoes that adds tallness, or too much sporty or gym fashioned clothing unless you're really doing sports.
Try to be casual and wear things that fits well like >>14661122 said and don't obsess over, because basically it is not that you made any mistake being short, but styling that makes people notice that you're short, it is.

>> No.14661498

5"6 here.
I usually just wear clothes that fill well and don't go for specific styles. Making sure pants are your length and fit is pretty essential. I generally wear chelsea boots, dark jeans with a tee or sweater that isn't really long. People never seem to mention my height and say I dress well. It's all about confidence being a Manlet, you are cabable of looking just as good as anyone taller if you just put some effort in.

>> No.14661554

what most people said. Slim fit is a must (like OP pic), bespoke if you can afford it. I personally get most of my shirts and trousers made to measure.
A decent coat will be your hardest challenge. >>14661143 is correct. Above the knees is a must.

>> No.14661602

5"6/7 here, has the naming manlet started a trend where short people cope on the internet?? Never felt bad about myself and dealing with being shorter from a kid on honestly boosted my confidence and how I deal with petty shit other people feel bad about. Feel like last 2/3 years I've seen it more than ever before, even some reddit tier friends who are uglier tryna mock me with manlet now its a prevalent term

Never gonna make it. Go for professional menswears since you are not growing anymore. Leather shoes give you 1 or 2 cm but the normally do that. Don't embarass yourself. If you lurked moar, you would know what two types of leather shoes you should buy and from what brand. Check the archives.
