Not OP, but most steel tanker desks are from the 50's and 60's, but the coolest ones are from the 30's. Lots of people like mid century industrial. Public schools were not buying these, they bought small oak teacher's desks.

I have this muh vintage desk that's almost identical except a few inches shorter on each side. I got it on kijiji for $50 cad delivered to my door.

I wanna trash all my stuffy old trash and go full Kanye.

some had a top that was linoleum. I think this one was refinished with something else - vinyl maybe.

Steel tanker desks are my fav piece of furniture. Especially ones that have been fitted with wood tops.
