Why do you need to try stuff on in person?

Very easy to return with most online retailers, including Brooks Brothers.

If you have no idea whatsoever of your size then maybe go to a Macys/closest store that sells mens clothes to get measurements. Neck, arms, chest most important. Once you know these it is easy to ballpark sizes online and you may not have to return them.

FWIW I've found Spier & Mackay to have some of the best OCBDs outside of the top price range. They have nice material and long collars, for that perfect roll.

Most brands OCBDs should probably be avoided, either too expensive, material too thin/lifeless, and most notably too short collars. Stay away from those brands for OCBDs, key piece and easy to get wrong.

That said I also like Uniqlos OCBDs to use a layering option under sweaters, mostly because they are quite cheap and above average quality (but too short collars). Never wear them either with a tie or outside of a sweater.

Forgot to reply the first question. Even if returns are easy, they are a hassle which you dont have to do if you try them on at the shop. In person you can check all the details of the shirt, the fit it has and also many more options available there, plus you save the shipping cost.

Sole is half and half, no complaints for the moment with them, they dont do any squeaky noise and they dont fell hard. The first day the shoes were a bit stiff but after a couple wears they are quite comfortable (interior cushing is good, it could be good if the front part were suede or something like that)

People with high contrast dark features (Basically all the typical meds) usually benefit from them.
