Probably, its also probably because its something non default (clean shaven being default by most standards) that isn't the overplayed beard.
Been rocking a stache since I was 13 myself, was awful back then of course but its filled out nicely.
I like to wear mine fairly thick and about 9mm long, with the rest of my face trimmed to a 3mm stubble.
Also I guess its just a fairly simple classic look, only works if it suits you though. I'm one of those guys who's had one for so long that I look weird to people who know me when I occasionally shave it.

This. A mustache with maybe some light stubble is the ultimate power move. You simultaneously blow numales, soi boys, jawlets and all low-test baiters the fuck out. If you have the coverage, the capability of growing a strong, full beard is evident by like day 3 and that's enough for many. It then also is short enough to display a jawline and strong chin.
