grey/navy tee, slightly faded jeans, some sort of athletic shoe (probably black/grey Nikes, not the expensive ones though. The ones you can buy at Shoe Carnival or equivalent), keep your hair short but not buzzed because that stands out. Make sure everything kind of fits but not too well.

too much/little of anything will make you stand out. You don't want to look like a mess of a person but you also don't want to look like you care too much about your appearance, both of those things are noticeable.
Bonus points if you wear sunglasses -- I remember reading somewhere once that if you wear glasses that will basically become your defining trait in people's heads, and they won't remember much else about your face.
