Groom & Clean and Brylcreem are good hair creams. The first one washes right out in the shower easily. Royal Crown Pomade is a good intermediate between cream and wax, a true pomade. For wax, I recommend Dax Wave and Groom, which you could wash out easily with an application of Groom & Clean.
