Does anyone have experience with moles? Most specifically how to make them lighter and/or flatter?

I have a couple that black hairs grow out of, is there any way to permanently kill those hairs?

Is this "good enough" or is there something more I should be doing?

Side note, but what do you guys do about occasional acne? I have dry skin so I just don't apply product on it until it dries out, and the niacinamide helps with the post-acne redness, but I feel like this is probably unhealthy somehow.

>Astronauts experience changes in their skin during spaceflight. SkinCare is designed to examine these changes and use the data collected to create a model for skin aging. This model can be used to create countermeasures to protect skin on Earth and in space.
>Space is no trip to the spa -- astronauts experience dry, itchy, thinning skin. For this investigation, researchers measured skin hydration, trans-epidermal water loss, elasticity, and the fine structure on predetermined skin areas before, during, and after flight. One area was treated daily with a skin care emulsion. Measurements showed decreased skin elasticity, decrease in density of the skin fiber, thinning of the top skin layer, and prolonged molting of base layer cells, while the emulsion-treated area showed improved hydration. Further tests on more subjects are needed to determine general medical risks using skin physiological parameters and to minimize space-induced side effects on the skin.

I'd add a toner, moisturizer, and a treatment cream for acne. ideally most required would be treatment cream (w/ benzoyl peroxide or saliciyc acid) and moisturizer since these products dry out one's skin.

I am a 19 yr female n my skin is fucking perfect due to these combination of products

1. Foaming cleanser, any brand - removes dirt , bad oils
2. African black soap - 2nd cleanser to brighten skin
3. Witch hazel toner- removes excess dirt, prevents acne, restores skin PH levels after using black soap
4. Anti acne serum - kills acne causing bacteria
5. Hydrologic acid - reduces wrinkles and helps skin restore itself
6. Brightening eye cream - slowly over time 'bleaches' the dark circles away
7. Night moisturizer (EVEN IF DAY)- helps bring back moisture into skin as acne based treatments are very drying
8. Green tea mist to calm skin- reduces redness
9. SPF if day. No SPF if zzzz - no matter how dark you are you need to wear SPF ... ESPECIALLY IF YOU DRIVE
10. makeup if needed - don't be afraid to wear natural looking makeup if you're a man . A bit of concealer and eyebrow product can can your whole look, but if you don't have a good base to work with makeup will not be able to hide that.

Starting early with hydration is necessary for scars to heal. So moisturizers, occlusives should be used. Humectants such as hyaluronic acid help to increase moisture retention as well aiding in healing.
There are also specialized creams to treat scaring but they are not all that cheap (e.g. dermatix, kelo cote). I found ebay auctions to be cheapest way to get them though, the price can be shaved off by up to a half if you're lucky. The first one I listed besides having plenty of silicone occlusives also has a vitamin C derivative to normalize the tone of the skin.

Use Cosdna to look up the ingredient list for your rich moisturizer and see if any of them have a high comedogenicity rating. The consistency isn't the problem here but the formula. In my case, I had a light and a rich moisturizer from the same brand line and the light one while absolutely pleasant to apply broke me out in a matter of days whereas the rich one while thick as shit and absorbing ridculously long was perfectly fine.

Anyone have any recommendations for milia under the eyes?

Morning:
Neutrogena Hydroboost cleanser
Cerave spf 30 moisturizer

PM:
hydroboost cleanser
Ordinary 2% granactive retinoid
cereve moisturizer

I've been using the 2% retinol for 5 months now and some milia has disappeared but new ones have popped up. Should I go for a stronger solution? It doesn't irritate my face at all currently. I don't really have breakouts, just blackheads, milia, and some acne scars.

I also put on a mask once a week. Thanks

You need sun fool but first you need to address your other serious problems. Based on your skin you look young which means you need to work a little more strictly to keep your skin tidy. Use a light cleanser like Cetaphil and whatever toner you can afford. Also oily skin is begging for a moisturizer (specific to face obviously). Then use an SPF 25-35 (also for face!!!!) and get a little sun (just a little, 20-30 minutes or you'll set yourself up for wrinkles)

Anyone got suggestions for a light AM moisturizer and a thiccc bad boy PM moisturizer to use after retin-a?

I don't have dry skin normally, just after using a retinoid. I don't feel like cerave is anything to write home about. It feels like it just sits on top and doesn't help w retinoid induced dryness.

Current routine:

AM
>Cetaphil Cleanser
>Stratia C+C (vit c)
>Kikumasamune toner
>Strata Liquid Gold (finished it, dont like it that much)
>Altruist Sunscreen (highly recommend)

PM
>Oil Cleanser (if makeup)
>Cetaphil Cleanser
>Retin A (0.05%)
>Stratia Niacinamide
>Cerave in the tub (pls give new rec)

Most of that comes from consciously stopping the touch and moving the hand away. Some of those I allow through because I still find it important to check on the condition of a pimple when there are no mirrors around or just feel the smoothness of the skin. Those still have to be limited.
Another habit that I changed was to rest the head on hands right under the chin rather than holding above it or on the cheek.
>>14535957
Wash, tret, benzoyl, then moisturize. Make sure each product absorbs and doesn't stick to the fingers before applying the next. Tretinoin can be used with benzoyl just fine.
>Is oatmeal and honey soap a good soap for my face (pic related)?
Some of the reviews do mention using it for the face but because it's a soap I'd probably check the alkalinity with a test strip first. You really don't want any alkaline stuff interacting with your face which can fuck shit up considerably.

>I never go outside so why use sunscreen
Unless you are located in a dungeon with no natural light coming through then yes you don't need it. Otherwise windows only block UV-B while letting UV-A rays easily through which then affect the deeper layers of the skin. Depending on the material curtains can hold off some of that, but something light and full of tiny woven holes probably doesn't help much.
>I got an oily face so why moisturize?
By providing the required level of moisture a moisturizer can help to minimize sebum production. Obviously for oily skin a light formula is needed to easen absorbtion.
>What is a toner, exfoliator and astringent and which of them do I need
>toner
Toner is a texture so anything can be a toner.
>exfoliator
Physical exfoliants and chemical AHA exfoliants help to exfoliate the top layer of the skin, thereby removing dead skin cells and other dirt. In the case of AHAs skin cell replication rate increases so any temporary skin conditions should come and go faster (such as pimples), long term use can help to thicken the skin and increase collagen production.
Chemical BHA exfoliants are meant to exfoliate the inside lining of the pores so they are good to fight acne and regulate sebum production. This type of exfoliant is the one recommended for oily skin.

She's not derm, they don't know crap about how to read skincare ingredients, i know I worked in pharmacy, especially people who just sell shelf products, they usually have to push products they've been told to recommend or they just get whatever they see available.
What you have currently will dry out your skin in a bad way the toner is pure shit and followed by a bad drying cream, your skin will end up producing even more oil because you wrecked all the skin barrier.
If you still can't afford differin, buy non fragrant neutrogena yellow bottle wash with 2% SA, leave on for 2-3min, followed by not too thick moisturizer and yes cerave makes excellent barrier repair products, there are other good similar drugstore moisturizers just have to know how to read them, apply to damp skin.
You don't need 10% benzoyl peroxide, 2.5% to 5% works just as well without peeling
apply BP on dry skin only when all moisturizer absorbed, apply and massage areas
you breakout most, avoid eyes.
You really don't need to over wash your skin, twice a day is the most you need.

At 72 h after tape stripping, good sleepers had 30% greater barrier recovery compared with poor sleepers. Good sleepers also reported a significantly better perception of their appearance and physical attractiveness compared with poor sleepers.

I have extremely dry skin here in New Mexico and I just got a moisturizer. I'll try to cool down my showers but can I use a moisturizer more than twice a day, such as three times?

I did at first, but my skin can tolerate it and I'm not seeing any signs of what most are experiencing. I really feel like I need a change of cleanser or moisturizer, or both, as I'm still oily, most of the time.(even before I started exfoliating)

Here's the secret to good skin:

Go into the woods and dig up a semi-moist patch of soil, then rub it all over. You need the good ammonia eating bacteria to be part of your skin microbiome.
After that, shower only with water or you will get rid of the good bacteria colony within a couple showers. You can use products for hands, feet, armpits and the crotch area, just never go full body so the good bacteria can thrive.

You can if you have a lot of money to get procedures done, otherwise you can try using AHAs and Retinoids to help even out skin texture but it'll be superficial compared to getting actual cosmetic procedures

Between 30 and 50 is what's generally optimal. It's SPF 100 that's overkill.

Seems somewhat pricey but it should work. Additionally I would throw in an evening moisturizer to go before or after the adapalene.

What can I do about large pores, very oily skin and reoccurring breakouts on the chin?

Here’s my routine right now:
AM: Rinse with water, apply eucerin oil control spf 50
PM: Wash with avene cleanser, use either niacinamide or salicylic acid then cerave moisturising cream afterwards. There’s no dairy in my diet either

yes you need sunscreen if you have windows in your house

windows don't block UVA rays which actually cause skin aging.

You can probably get away with reapplying the suncreen less though

>> No.14545741

Anti-microbial and improves circulation. It doesn't matter if you leave it on overnight assuming you don't glop it on. Most of the recipes you'll find suggest a 2:1 ratio of honey to cinnamon, though in my experience, I just mixed them until they thickened up more. You can leave it on for however long you want instead of overnight. Just give it time to do its magic before cleaning off with your cleanser and applying toner/moisturizer, or whatever you do before bed.

I have the cleanser and the ultra facial cream, both are pretty great. cleanser feels good and smells like lavender + can be used 2x a day by less sensitive people, and the moisturizer definitely feels like it's doing its job despite how relatively quick it seems to absorb. I also tried the spot treatment acne thing, which if you know anything about sulfur based stuff it's guaranteed to work, though I do think you can prob get any alternative for cheaper. dunno if they've a toner, and if they do I haven't tried it.

>> No.14547811

>>14544308
cleanser is to get general debris/excess oil off your face in a gentler manner, as opposed to exfoliating which will remove everything in a slightly harsher manner. exfoliator should only be used roughly once a week unless you're somehow prone to being filthy or build up a ton of shit real fast, that's why cleanser is used on a near daily basis to take care of the more general stuff.

toner is optional, but recommended -- its purpose is to, as the name states, tone, which can be anything from shrinking pores to lifting skin to a couple other things (some toners are also borderline exfoliators themselves, if you get any of those I'd recommend using them exclusively at night unless you think your sunblock can overcompensate for it). I'd say look around at toners and think about what you'd want out of one if you got one.

splashing your face with water alone is both unnecessary and more likely to fuck you over than not -- all it does is shift the oil and any bacteria that might be on there, as well as dry out the skin but moisturizer already counters that last part. some people are luckier with genetics and get skin that won't get fucked over at all despite doing this, but if you're not amongst those people then cleanser is recommended, plus it feels really good to have clean skin.

>>14544487
careful with schmidt's, it works like a charm but it also tends to cause horrible chemical burns on all but the toughest of skin. there's guides out there to make it gentler but I doubt most people here would go the distance for that.

>>14545607
learn to look up chemicals, look up reviews, have an idea of what works with your skin which is a lot of trial and error.

>>14545756
SK is the best worldwide, ask around at a shop or look up vids from reviewers. cheaper if you can get directly.

can someone redpill me on dermarolling and if it actually works? I have a couple tiny craters that I'd love to see gone without having to pay out the ass for surgery.

Is there a recommended review site? Can I really trust x product review? Maybe its just paid shills saying good stuff and its actually bad.
As for chemicals this is my first time so I wouldn't know which works for my skin. Or are there chemicals which are recommended to have in all cleansers, moistureizers and sunscreens. If so what are they?
