This is the hardest thing, but basically, figure out the kinda stuff you like and make it look good, won't be hard if you're muscular and follow the only real rules to fashion there. That's rough, the advice is more guideline and for big guys who are near the limit of being big without roids. I mostly had slightly loose clothes I grew into when I was lifting, and then once I exceedded got new ones. You could go the girl route and have "big girl pants" which is code for "when I can't control myself for a few months and I'm too fat for my cloths" If you're getting close to your goal weight it's not bad to have a few extra sets of clothes for when you're bigger, just more costly.

1. Don't wear anything that would look absolutely ridiculous 20, 40, 60, 80 years ago. The patrician style has oscillated, but not enormously.

2. Wear "organic" materials when possible- that is, cotton, wool, cashmere, silk, linen. The poors have long been associated with nylon, rayon etc. Perhaps that's changed slightly with athleisure, but organic materials are still the start of evoking a patrician look
3. Plus points for allusions to anglo-saxon culture.
4. Plus points for anything nautical or equestrian
5. Everything should fit well but it also shouldn't be trying-too-hard skin tight.
6. JFK was a mediocre president but a damn fine dresser. Dress like him.

My skinny jeans are the only thing I miss about being a complete skelly. Had to switch over to slim fit pretty quickly. ESPECIALLY important if you have wider than average hips (I do).

Buy slim-fitting clothes in nice materials. Even slightly more expensive materials can change a lot about your look — they have nicer fits than cheap cotton tees (I’m talking about the graphic tees you probably wore in high school) and they subtly communicate your taste and value. I have a few really nice linen tees that fit/drape over my torso really nicely,
making my pecs look bigger than they usually do in clothes.

Don’t go too thought though. No one needs to see the outline of your belly button, or your pointy nips poking through when you get cold.
