Shitter brands like Seiko are honestly embarrassing. There are so many people out there buying these pieces of shit because of hype produced by people such as TGV. Show me someone who thinks they've found a sub-$500 Seiko with good/acceptable QC (chapter ring aligned, spring bar holes drilled properly, bezel that lines up at 12, a movement that actually keeps time etc.) and I'll show you someone who's smoked a bunch of PCP. $5 Aliexpress shitters have better QC than the pieces of shit this retard pushes.

Went to try on some Seiko Prospex and Presage yesterday. They felt like utter dogshit. How on Earth can anyone put up with their shit quality. Even Citizen and Timex at a lower price range felt higher quality. I then went on to check their specs online and found their accuracy to be atrocious. What the actual fuck do people see in these again?

Grand Seiko is well finished but they always seem to get proportions wrong or some design element is off. Fuck Seiko really.

But agreed. I tried on a $1000 Seiko diver not that long ago, it felt and looked like a $150 watch at best. The Hamilton Khaki (lol) I tried on at the same time was quite obviously far superior in terms of finish and quality and was less than half the price, Seikos are serious pieces of fucking shit.

(I'm blanking on the term for when it's like the ALS there.) I like ALS's more traditional stuff though, especially when it's got the blue hands/silver dial combo. I don't much like the design on a lot of Omegas newer watches either, primarily the sizes. The 300 is nice but it doesn't speak to me. Black and blue are the only ones I would consider, I dislike the white dial. AT models are currently the nicest Omega models imo, and they come in 38mm too which is a classy size and sporty at the same time, just as they wanted. The 41mm ATs look like they should've had a diver bezel instead because of their size.

They produce some of the best of the best movements in the business, they have so much knowledge about producing them that they can literally produce anything they want, whether it has been done before or not.

General build quality in their watches is really good. They are fine but sturdy. That watch in your pic is no exception. Give them your watch every 5-7 year and they will just make it as new again regardless of whether you had any problems with it. They don't want anyone owning a JLC that is not perfect.
