Does the way you dress have to follow a consistent style, making all of your clothes into a kind of Gesamtkunstwerk following certain aesthetic dogmas or is dressing schizophrenically with dynamic and everchangig styles and aesthetics the way to go?

YES, BECAUSE FASHIONSTYLE DERIVES FROM PERSONALITY; OTHERWISE, YOU ARE ONLY PUTTING ON DISGUISES.

This damns the boring person to stay boring. Cant Fashion influence Personality? Arent all Fashionstyles disguises? Bringing out good features, hiding the bad ones, disguising your true phyisical form, creating illusions is the most fundamental aspect of fashion. Why not also adapt also this aspect to your personality or atleast your socially perceived one?
A well dressed person will act more confident than someone wearing rags.
Someone wearing terrorwave or sleazecore will adapt his demeanor to fit his aesthetic.

1. FASHIONSTYLE CAN AFFECT PERSONALITY IN RETURN, BUT IT DOES NOT EFFECT IT IN TURN.

2. FASHIONSTYLE IS FORMAL EXPRESSION OF PERSONALITY, NOT CONCEALMENT OF PERSONALITY, OR THE LACK THEREOF.

3. FASHIONSTYLE SHOULD BE EARNEST, HONEST, SINCERE, SHOWING THE BETTER ASPECTS OF ONE, WITH NO DECEPTION.

Definitely the latter for me, I enjoy a pretty diverse range of styles

>>14387239
But people are complex. How I express myself changes depending on my mood day to day. Just like you can enjoy many different genres of music, you can enjoy many different styles of clothing. Sticking to one thing gets boring anyway.

I dunno, should I get all white Nikes?

This sounds stupid. No it doesn't have to be consistent, but it could if you want it to be. You can have the same fucking black outfit on for an entire week, or change styles completely every day. It doesn't fucking matter.

Do people actually wear terrorwave unironically?

I don't see anything wrong with creating an outfit with a certain style or aesthetic in mind even if it doesn't fit what you would wear "naturally", fashion can be an expression of creativity just like anything else

Besides if we went by dressing only in clothes that matched our true "personality" any given guy wearing baggy jeans, running shoes, and oversized tees would be doomed to wear that for the rest of their lives, never to improve. That implies that fashion sense isn't a skill that can be improved on, only some kind of weird inherent thing that allows certain people to wear certain clothes and other people other kinds.

I've always wondered this because I feel well connected with two distinct styles and I'm not sure which is the "real" me. On the one hand I work in finance and had a proper upbringing. On the other I personally identify with the whole "doomer" ideal (if you can call that an "ideal") and prefer the monochromatic nihilistic streetwear looks.

fashion is fun and tastes are everchanging.. if you only wear one type of clothes it makes you look boring. unless you are very attractive

I coincidentally dress in the terrorwave style but I'm actually more into German techno and was trying to dress like that.

dwc is what you want, just don't go overboard because it's very easy to look like shit.
